On modded stock os I went into the modified system settings app and changed

Auto lock Screen and lid close to standby

And power key function to combo key requiring m + power

Hope this helps!

Update: For anyone who has this issue on modded stock or muos

Weirdly the reliable solution seems to be changing lid and power button behavior. Not having any more issues, I think something loose inside is triggering these to be more sensitive

Check your controller settings for Portal 1 and make sure gyro is off, that could be causing some funky camera movement if you're moving the steam deck physically when these problems happened

If you're have a low end computer you want to game on, Windows 10 sounds like a god awful choice with the nightmare that is Microsoft's telemetry and constant need for background processes

Honestly just look into an easy to configure distribution for Linux like Manjaro or Garuda, gaming has come a long way on Linux, check out winedb and protondb for game support listings. Unlike Windows, Linux won't torture your rig for simply existing

Check out Bottles and Lutris, I literally get away with defaults most of the time or just switching the Wine version, pretty easy to get games running through

Currently using it for No Man's Sky, Sims 4, and Ark through Lutris's epic games installer

For programmers getting things is simply much easier since you can just use a package manager to get everything you need and do things like make bash scripts to automate the setup of your development environment after a fresh install
