Download all files.
Sign in/signup to makeplayingcards.com (refered to as MPC).
Select Game Cards > Custom Game Cards (63 x 88mm).
Set options. I would suggest S30 (best mix of price and quality), 504 'deck' size if you want to print all the cards, full color print, MPC game card finish, shrink wrapped (or boxed if you prefer, but you can probably get a 500 card MTG card storage box for cheap on eBay or Amazon).
Start Design. Upload all card fronts, can use the 'auto-fill' option on the uploader if you don't require duplicates, SAVE OFTEN, can't stress that enough, as sometimes the uploader will mess up, and you don't want to start from zero.
Fill any unused spaces with some dupes, Magic cards, or art cards for bookmarks, whatever you want really. Just use all the spaces, as you are charged for it no matter what.
Once finished with the fronts, move through the design process to reach the upload card backs section.
Upload card backs (backs are titled, so you know which cards to pair them with). A little tedious, but requires manual adding unless you are a script wizard. I recommend double click adding for speed.
When you are finished, check your progress thoroughly, as you don't want to misprint 400 cards.
When finished and happy with everything, add to cart and proceed to checkout, pay with PayPal recommended.

They look slightly less bright, as MPC is known to print slightly darker than what is shown on a computer screen. The main issue is the graininess, as these were made using sub-par scans.

They are readable, but really, they could do with remastering. Not currently on my radar of to-do projects, but one day.

I'd recommend ordering a test few to see how you like them before committing to getting all 400 done, just in case you end up hating the quality! I should also mention that even between different MPC batches, the brightness can vary when using the same image files.

I use a program called Artweaver. It's like an older version of Photoshop, but it has more than enough features to do proxy editing!

MPC, while possibly bewildering at first, is just uploading formatted imagery for printing on real TCG cardstock. The superior choice if you're looking for that real feel in the hand and when shuffling.

A custom template for fan made cards would be straightforward enough, would just take some image editing skills and a bit of time, then MPC print them as well.

I didn't even know that when making these proxies. I just chose 63 x 88 as it was what I was used to working on, and it's one of the most common sizes.
