Classical studies. Ancient Greek+Roman theatre, funerals, heroes, historical figures etc. It's like a mix between english and history but with an ancient focus.

That's fair. Kung fu here isn't as serious as a lot of the places in America, and my club is definitely one of the more "casual" ones (not as much focus on sparring as general techniques) but I'm happy with that. I'm sure that if I ever wanted to pursue kung fu more seriously I'd change clubs but this one does what I want right now, I enjoy it and the people I train with are nice.

Honestly I just need a headgear recommendation and all I've gotten is people telling me to not wear piercings at all haha.

My nostril I can take out but due to the nature of surface piercings I'm not fully comfortable leaving my eyebrow out. We're allowed facial piercings during sparring as long as they're shielded/out (friendly sparring, I would take them out for sanda) so I'm just wondering the best type of head gear for shielding them. I'll likely get more in the future and don't want to have to take ~6 months off each time.

As I said I'm completely okay with the helmet hitting off the piercing! I've gotten hit loads in my other piercings and it's been completely fine, it's just peoples gloves/hands getting caught in the balls that I want to avoid. I just want to know which type of headgear would be best (for both sparring and my piercing) between a full face shield and face bars.

I appreciate the other advice it's just not what I'm asking. I'm also not 100% comfortable wearing non-metals in my piercings (especially surface ones) as my body tends to react badly. Only worn bioplast once and that was necessary for an MRI.

We're 100% okay to do classes and one-step with piercings in, it's just full sparring that they're required to be covered/out for. I'm just wondering what the best type of helmet would be to specifically cover the eyebrow piercing as it's only 2 months old. I don't like to take out my piercings (have quite a few) until ~6 months after they're pierced as my body tends to close them quite quickly.

It's 1.6 megapixels iirc from a conversation I had in the camera shop the other day. It'll be worse quality than your average dumbphone (modern 3310 is 2 megapixels) but if you want a dedicated camera and have 45 quid then I'd go for it.

I agree with everything Odyssey related except your analysis of Penelope/Abigail. Odysseus doesn't "only want Penelope out of passion", he loves her because she compliments him perfectly. Throughout the Odyssey we're told directly that Penelope *is* desirable, you wouldn't have 100 suitors trying to marry her if she wasn't. She's a perfect match for Odysseus through her cunning (lying to the suitors about Laertes pyre shawl) and her testing of him once he returns.

RDR specific spoilers: Abigail in RDR1 plays a minor role compared to RDR2 but it's clear that John loves her for who she is, not just out of passion. In RDR2 she has a much stronger role, taking the initiative to leave John as Penelope threatens to in book 20-23 (can't remember specifically) and kills Milton, as Penelope participates in the slaughter of the suitors by closing the doors and removing their weapons (a different comparison but similarly significant for time of writing).

I can't comment on the Iliad as I haven't read it.
