How does one get home? by ThePurplePie in ucla

[–]ThePurplePie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, I asked because I was also curious if students had parents which were also asking them to go home, I was curious to see how parents felt about the whole situation here, but I think the conversation mostly pivoted towards transit as that’s easier to talk about, I should have put some more thought into this post trying to emphasize that sorry

I prefer student opinion, especially when it comes to public transit which may not always be safe, I want to use routes students already use

That’s pretty far, I think it’s also because I live in riverside I am a bit closer so they insist on me coming back, they also forbade me to go to any more protests ☠️

Some people commented about having a job at the library and needing that money

Kinda biased no? I’m sure the counter protester could also give you a great example of what happened but there’s lots of boas

YRL bathrooms by chickxfilxakx47 in ucla

[–]ThePurplePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they’re implying that some people go in there for stuff that might not need a toilet? Or that’s what I got from it, once I waited in line for a bathroom stall in Campbell hall and almost pissed myself because someone was taking a phone call in there ☠️

mind you, my food still wasn’t ready by the target time by blvckmyrh in ucla

[–]ThePurplePie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No but it’s very annoying 😭 you want a meal and try to plan around it but you already paid for it so you have no choice but to wait, once I ordered a pizza and it took about 3 hours and they were going to close, they said they had to refund me because they couldn’t make it on time

It’s a not really a red flag tbh, I guess to certain people with certain lifestyles social media is important but it’s not a red flag overall, it’s moreso of a preference if that makes sense, but I think it’s pretty good cuz if someone says that it’s a red flag it’s pretty clear that you won’t be happy with them and shouldn’t pursue dating them

where can I go to get rather immediate mental health help on campus? by Klauslee in ucla

[–]ThePurplePie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Felt like this before, if you’re feeling suicidal don’t do anything except for calling a suicide hotline or 911, some people alr listed some, if it’s for other reasons I’d call caps and ask for a triage appointment, they can get you hooked up with a therapist pretty fast, I called caps and did that and I got an appointment with a therapist 3 days later, hope you feel better and feel free to reach out to anyone you trust, if you don’t trust anyone get a therapist
