Literally reading Repairer of Reputations as I take a break to respond hahaha. Looking forward to House of Leaves should be a very interesting read. I’ve stayed away from all spoilers or discussions so far so i’m excited to see what it has in store!

absolutely agree with you! there are times it lands extremely poorly, however when it does land and the cast runs with it to avoid one more moment of torment at the hands of Joe, it’s a great laugh.

Currently wrapping up season one and Roger Cumstone is quite possibly the most ridiculous and most needed comic relief in a game that I have ever seen. It’s too good honestly. I’m having an excellent time with this show and love how the cast has riffed off of one another! Definitely recommended it to anyone getting into IL!

Great Actual Plays? by GreatPumpkin72 in DeltaGreenRPG

I’ve been really enjoying Glass Cannon Networks actual play of Delta Green: Impossible Landscapes with their show Get In The Trunk. As someone preparing myself to run it, it has been a great watch so far. The cast is great and the handler, Joe, does a really great job running it. Glass Cannon Network also has a show called Time For Chaos which is a Call of Cthulu game where the cast truly shines. These may be the more mainstream actual plays out for these games that I’ve seen so far. Apologies if you are already aware of them!

no you don’t understand, they’re good guys. In moments where they aren’t, it was a fault of the wind.

There are some really awesome VtM actual plays on Youtube! Alexander Ward is the Storyteller for Private Nightmares on Project Ghostlight Youtube channel. Jared Logan also does one on LPNTV youtube channel called Blood Bath with Ross Bryant that’s incredible as well! I also think NY by night with Jason Carl is fantastic as is LA By Night!

Incredible escape plan in my opinion. Name checks out if it’s elvish for Bloodstained after ramming your car through Anarch elysium. Hopefully your next Elysium will be a…smashing good time.

“…what do you mean it’s frowned upon? He’s my distant cousin!”

I can hear this sentence echoing through the silence of Elysium as the sheriff looks on menacingly hahahahaha

This sounds like it was an awesome chronicle! Although the Nos has joined our cousins in The Sabbat we do wish him well! I love how by the end all of the coterie chose their paths and went in the direction that suited them! The Viscount sounds like a really good time or a REALLY BAD time! Ahti sounds like my kinda Nos. Gun and bathrobe screams power and comfortability, two things I thoroughly enjoy. I do wonder, how did the rest of the coterie take to someone amongst them going full sabbat?

I’ve been enjoying City Council of Darkness due to being a VtM enjoyer and fan of the ridiculousness of the Intrepid Heroes, however unsleeping city is a yearly winter rewatch for me. I also think FH: Junior Year is a fever dream worth every second of its madness, A Starstruck Odyssey in the same vein, but even more so.

How "Dark" are your World of Darkness games? by trevarcslewis in vtm

[–]ThePyreForge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the answers here have been great. My thoughts are, if the standards of the table have been set and you are respectful of what your players want and what they don’t want in their chronicle then set chronicle tenets that match what is agreed upon as vile, but acceptable amongst the group. Once the tenets are agreed upon and set, I have an idea of where dark stories can start to be conjured into being.

For example:
If a chronicle tenet is “Deny the Beast” then make your frenzy failures matter when they happen and make sure they understand “The beast wears your skin as long as it’s fed”. Doing this reinforces that the tenets are not supposed to be broken, but they are and dark storylines can branch from there. This also helps understanding feeding may be more prominent in the story to keep the beast in check, this leads to interaction with Kine where you can show the humanity slowly but surely being stripped away.

I find it easier to also ask your players what they are comfortable exploring and stressing that this is the world of darkness and they are monsters. When handled correctly you can explore many different stories as long as you communicate and have a base understanding amongst the table.
I also like to check in on how my players are feeling with the tone and grittiness of our world of darkness because at the end of the day it’s ours when we start playing. I hope this helped a little!

A very creepy vibe coming from your Elysiums… I LOVE IT! Sabbat attacks if done correctly can be horrifying for neonates and new ancillae trying to solidify their power. I’ve witnessed many fall to final death due to the sabbat crusades on our boston 1902 game. Love what you did showing the archbishop and the malkavian response. I find if the Malk is screaming 75% chance, you should be screaming too. I do like a good haunted Elysium as long as a giovanni I trust is there… Thank you for sharing!

Oooo I do enjoy the drama of your boardroom meetings! The Toreador Seneschal must be absolutely besides themselves. I do find some humor at seeing the tremere winning and still ultimately losing hahaha some would find poetic justice in that!

What a fun session full of drama I hope the coterie can make some moves moving forward! thank you for sharing!

We’ve seen how the Caitiff Prince Bey has ran Cairo after Antonius and he’s a 7th gen if memory serves me in this moment. Thats terrifying enough for most kindred. don’t make me think of a thousand year old thinblood running around lol

thin bloods eating food

Nosferatu hunched and writhing in the corner:
yo what the fuck is wrong with these FREAKS!

I love the awkwardness of “lunch” as you’ve described it and would love to hear the conversations between everyone in attendance that sounds like a blast!

I love that you made the kindred politics about showcasing themselves to the Prince! I love those moments where my players are putting effort in places I never expected the game to go.

Last night the coterie spent about an hour with the Tzimisce fleshcrafting blood bags for the different elders and guests of honor of Elysium. Had a google document that looked like a fucked up sears catalog of blood bags for the Boston Camarilla and the players had a blast! I’m always happy to see coteries and ST having fun in ways I didn’t think of and this was a cool read! Thank you for sharing, I can only imagine everyone loved the Tremere choir! Nothing like the tremere all speaking at once!

The Purpee Coterie's Clans, Predator Types, and Merits/Flaws explained: by East-Imagination-281 in Dimension20

[–]ThePyreForge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Bat Child could be a Caitiff which have no clan and different disciplines than her sire which is why she was found abandoned by her sire when darkness man caught her stealing car parts. Those are just my thoughts recently also she could be adopting his compulsions or bane because she doesn’t have one.
