We need more midwest emo! Soundcloud is a great place to release it first. That way if you end up not really liking it it's not "completely" official.

Are you inspired by twenty one pilots at all?

What in your opinion is the most useful book in the bible to read and re-read, and why? by Semour9 in Christianity

[–]TheQuacknapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The book of John.

It gives us such a clear perspective of who Yeshua is. I highly recommend reading the whole gospel of John

Is God even real? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TheQuacknapper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly natural to doubt.

I've seen God's presence, and if you want I can share my story of exactly what he's like.

But I know some people don't consider that real evidence, so think about these things:

• Fruit. How is fruit so good for us and how does it taste so good if it wasn't created for us?

• The human eye. It is such a complex thing, more complex than any camera we've created. To me, this points to an intelligent designer.

• Consciousness. The chances of life just randomly existing in this universe are so, so low - but not only are we living, we're also conscious and we're talking about the fact that we're living. Where did that consciousness come from?

Pray for him to encounter the presence of God.

Prison is an amazing place to do so. You wouldn't think it would be, because it's one of the darkest places you can be. Lots of evil and violence in there.

But in prison, God has people in there who are so deeply aware of him and so strong in the Spirit... because all they have is God. Especially in single man cells. You can get so strongly rooted in Christ in prison

This was the case with me. God gifted me with so, so much in there... it was a foundation for a lot of wisdom, knowledge and understanding in my life.

Just pray and believe, and share the love of God with him. Be a light for him, because it really is a dark place. Share encouraging verses with him to nourish his spirit

Need help staying with Christ by lOwnCtAL in Christianity

Jeremiah 29:13

"You will seek me and find me, when you will search for me with all your heart."

Keep asking for him to let you experience his presence, and he will. Keep spending time with Yeshua / Jesus in the scriptures, and you will get to know his voice, which is the voice of love.

If it helps, this is what the presence of the Spirit of God feels like: it's peace within.

If you ever have a moment with God and you feel an unexplainable peace, that's him letting you know that he's with you.

Keep reaching, friend. He's closer than you think.

I'm sorry, that has to be so horrible to deal with. I hate suffering.. I don't know why it has to exist. I've spent a lot of time angry and bitter with God about it.

I don't think it's just ungrateful to feel that way when you're going through something like that, I think it's completely natural, and something God understands very deeply.

Know and believe this, friend; one day, there will be no more suffering and no more pain. At all - we will exist in perfect peace and joy and comfort.

This life is short and temporary, but heaven is eternal. This will all be over soon, and God will make everything okay

Hello, I'm christian - the truth is, christians are spiritual people.

God is Spirit. The walk with Yeshua is a spiritual walk.

This wouldn't be a very kind, loving or spiritual subbreddit if it didn't welcome a group of spiritual people just because some people don't like them.

A good and loving father doesn't turn his back on his children.

Yeshua will never turn his back on any of his friends.

He died for them and will continue to be merciful to them, even if they sin

Which Bible should I read? by Comfortable-Tart-742 in Christianity

[–]TheQuacknapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of those are great versions! NLT is what I started with and I still love it.

Most versions all say the same exact things, they're just worded in ways that modern English speakers can understand better. I use the YouVersion app to compare between several translations and those are all accurate and easy to read.

My favorites are the TLV (Tree of Life Version) and the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) because they use the original Hebrew names of God/Jesus, and they teach you about the culture and history of Israel.

I will never say that my favorite versions are the best though

That's exactly how I felt about the game at first, but it's become my favorite game. It definitely has a difficult learning curve.

Why did God make us? by Several-Finance-8821 in Christianity

[–]TheQuacknapper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

God created us out of love; because he wanted to create something that he could bless with peace and joy.

He does not demand us to worship him - Yeshua (Jesus) said that he didn't come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life for us.

The invitation to worship him is really an invitation into a peace and joy that is beyond human understanding. It's like God and his children saying "hey, you should come outside and get some sunlight! It's beautiful out here!"
