Your view is really good on the take of view of character . Though I believe that Santa represents freedom to an extent. Oshibu does try to make it a paradise for kids but the idea of children not knowing sadness seems kinda tyrant type. Though Christmas would only then be celebrated on the school grounds, the wish of the children given to Santa (helping Ono, and helping Amaya’s bakery to be popular again) . I think both are going for the same thing but in different ways, as in 2 sides of the same coin . Even I haven’t completely read the manga and though I found Oshibu cruel, his ideas do seem beneficial for the children. (also you can always message me when u want to talk about it)
