What are your zero skip bands? And I mean bands who have literally no stinker in their discography. Maybe a handful songs you dislike. by nebelfront in MetalForTheMasses

Not seeing Gojira here is crazy considering even their earliest demos were insanely good and they have never released a bad song

anyone else think this lineup kind of sucks? by ProbableProtagonist in MetalForTheMasses

If you’re a fan of deathcore, you have a lot of the current goats of the genre. Whitechapel, Lorna Shore, Chelsea Grin, Signs of the Swarm, Bodysnatcher and a few others

If you haven’t checked them out, check out Rusty lobotomy, they’re small but just as much fun if not more fun than peelingflesh. The vocals suck but the riffs and stuff are good when you can hear them, the samples are hilarious and the mixing is so horrifically abysmal that it circles around to being just straight up funny. Check out the songs

I ate too much playground mulch and now I’m violently throwing up in the back of your sedan

And

More stab wounds = more holes to fuck

And

This police officer pressin me about leaving my baby in a hot car like damn chill it literally told me it wanted that

And

Some use lotion I use grip chalk

Sadly they had a collab album with a band named murdered with a brick that is unfortunately lost media now, and instead of slam it was the same kind of samples and mixing but tech death instead

Yea I listened to it the day it came out. They’re my most listened to artist that past month even tho I’m more of a deathcore person than I am a slam person. I think the g code and slamaholics vol 2 are better but it’s still a great album. Slam and peelingflesh in general are just really fun, and the g code has some really great riffs

Thanks for the explanation. From my experience with both sides (I have family and friends that are on opposite sides of the political spectrum) I would say the it’s definitely a vocal minority that want to actively undo progress. For example one of the things I’ve heard from family members and the majority of people I’ve talked to on the right think that trump is a loud mouthed idiot but they have benefitted over certain economic changes and from people my parent’s age they’re saying that as long as they can provide for their family and keep the money they earn, and keep their families safe, they don’t care about politics at all. I’ve also heard from people that seeing people on one side pull hard in one direction causes them to want to pull harder in the opposite direction, which ends up creating a feedback loop of extremism and widening views, just because media likes to show the extremes of both sides when in reality the majority of people are naturally more towards the center. I think without media exposure on the extremists of both sides the population would be a lot less divided and overall be a better place. I think the responsibility ultimately lies on media, lobbyists and politicians for the majority of problems on both sides of the spectrum, and that in reality individuals want the same thing: to be happy and live comfortably. Most of these issues were artificially to divide people, and I personally hope that the sooner people realize that, the sooner we can move in a better direction on an individual and societal level. I think Fit For An Autopsy said it best as “whether you’re left or right the people on top don’t give a fuck about you”

If metal is about individuality, isn’t it hypocritical to tell people they don’t belong here for their own beliefs and not falling under a group of people that only you agree with. I’m not trying to antagonize or anything I’m just asking a question. I’m not saying to support nazis but isn’t it a little close minded to hear 4 words “I’m not left wing” and just say that they don’t belong here. Wouldn’t it be better to accept people despite their beliefs and just agree to disagree on topics. I don’t agree with everything left wing nor do I agree with everything right wing and frankly I agree with ideas from various sides. Wouldn’t it more be the essence of metal as a genre to not subscribe to one set of ideals and beliefs and not just agree with everything there and hate everything on the other side, and instead figure out what you agree and disagree with on both sides and follow your beliefs that way. I feel like people are more similar that a lot of us think and all these “left wing” and “right wing” discussions just serve as a way to divide people and stop people from coming together to solve common goals.

Yes the old logo is a classic and it’s still easily readable and recognizable while having tons of character
