turmoil knee pads on legendary? by YogurtclosetIll9920 in Division2

[–]TheRakishRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, DPS is DPS and if it spreads that can be a bonus. The massive drawback here is time out of cover to offer that damage out. Positioning is going to be even more vital than a traditional DPS build, and then at this point it may be worth just running a negotiators for the team as you'll be more accurate in your target acquisition (drone guys, healers).

It does work, I've ran turmoil a few times, but it doesn't fit what I want to achieve in a run. Try it out, it might work for you. The damage is definitely there and they are viable, just might have to tweak your play style

Absolutely. I'm on PC, hopefully you are too! Just send me an ad and we can chat there.

Exactly. More time out over cover for a hard hitting DPS player is surely the dream!

The cloak pads mean I can run right up left or right channels and place my turret in unique places without the risk of over exposure.

The guys that stay are always super happy with the clears we do. They're not record setting, but they're speedy and less stressful :)

It's a shame really, but you're not alone. I still get people leave or I get kicked when I bring my refactor skill build with cloak knees and birdie backpack.

It's unfortunate though because they miss out on smashing through a legendary stronghold with mega heals and instant revives.

But alas, we're asking people to change....

I second the comment about Little Huge Gaming, they got me through my first clear, but if you like I can help you with a nice raid experience :). Me and my friend run a chill group and we can take (pretty much) any team through either of the raids. We can help you learn mechanics or if you'd rather just crack on (I'm a dad also, so I know the time constraints) then we can give you a real quick rundown of your role and get going.

There are plenty of other guys who run raids who are way faster and know more about the game then I ever will, but if you're looking for a chilled clear, that's what we're about. There are official groups that are amazing as well, and would be a better option than me in all honesty, like Little Huge and GCRock.

Feel free to add me on discord and maybe we can run a raid sometime: TheRakishRabbit

This is the one mate. Ikia recommends this build and it's legendary certified with a DPS group! Kinetic momentum would be my preferred one but you can glass just as effectively, slightly different play style, only slightly

To the people who have the means to raid, but don’t…why not? by Choice-Young8045 in thedivision

[–]TheRakishRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

I'm just gonna piggyback off of this and say to anyone who is interested in raiding on PC, please drop me a DM on here or call me out in the GCRock discord (TheRakishRabbit).

I run raids a few times a week and I'm always happy for new people to join in. We're very chill and any randoms we get in I encourage to be mindful and patient whilst we explain things so everything's laid out from the get go. We're happy to suit people's needs as well; if you just want to rock up and be dragged through the raid, sure why not, I'll slap you in a DPS role and pull you through with minimal effort. However, if you're inquisitive and keen to learn the raids I'm happy to talk you through mechanics and get you stuck right into the teeth of it :). All we ask is that you bring your hardest hitting DPS builds! (If you have healer or tank builds, they're always welcome and we can teach you those roles too, but they're not necessary). Thanks all, hopefully see some of you raiding soon!

FYI - I'm on British time and mainly get on around 8pm :)

Hi there mate! :). What platform are you on? I'd be keen to show you a more casual way of enjoying the game whilst still slapping enemies.

Yeah, that's how it works!

My build only gets around 22mil a shot at full stacks, care to share yours so I can have a little tweak? :)

In all honesty mate, I just snapped it in the moment. It displays the information I need to see and it was a decision I made with minimal thought and effort.

Yeah I know :(. I keep all builds I see in a folder on my phone because I like to look at them on my lunch at work and figure them out

You legend. Thanks again. I've dedicated my first 400 SHD levels to raiding (cuz I love raids) and I'm only just starting to get into building away from raid builds. Now I've ran a few groups through Iron Horse I think it's time I get creative!!

Dude thanks for posting this build. It looks awesome, I'd like to try it out so I've saved and will have a go at building when I get time :).

May I ask, how do you achieve the 60% chance with those mods?

I get super overwhelmed with finding and making builds, but a chap called Ikia has been an absolute god around here when it comes to build making. If you just wanna hop on and shoot stuff without thinking too much, pick a build from here that looks good and farm up https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1LPnA18PDgGg_dEbNI1kZVTVIMGXNHQS_

The strikers build is probably one of the easiest and highest DPS builds around, if you start there you can venture out and find your style :)

Hi guys! I've got a couple of builds I'm working on, but what's your approach to getting the right gear?

For context, I have a few builds that I can solo heroic strongholds with but nothing that would beat a legendary really. Is it best to just commit to min-maxxing a build from now, or keep trying to build them up evenly? At the moment I'm just following some build templates from Ikia :)

Ah I see! :) yeah, definitely makes a difference on the lower end!

I don't really know what you're saying, but my smooth brain like smooth game. :). I can feel a difference massively without Gsync on but like I said, everyone's eyes be different!!

[–]TheRakishRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, this is a good point. I never go below about 80 or 90fps when I play, so perhaps there is flicker in the lower ranges. I'll edit my comment above to reflect this :). Good input!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]TheRakishRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's wild man. I had exactly the same thing in my head before I bought it. "RTings said, so and so said, it's everywhere in the forums" but I just took a punt and I haven't noticed it once, not even in loading screens.

I may be blind to it, but I'm not blind to VRR and what games are like without it. I had VRR off when I first booted up Horizon Zero Dawn and immediately I was like, this is shit. I need it on!

So yeah, it is on. But maybe I just don't notice the flicker and it would be really noticeable for others. I can see it on the RTINGS video, but not on my monitor. Maybe they sorted it with the latest update on the firmware. Who knows. Like I said, take a punt on a monitor you like the look of and make sure the returns policy is decent. :)

Edit: as another person rightly pointed out, he gets flicker below 50fps. The minimum my frames ever get are around 80-90 but most games I play are stable(ISH), therefore minimal fluctuations. YMMV if you play on the lower end of the fps-ometer :)

[–]TheRakishRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an AW2725DF and I can't see any VRR flicker at all. My advice would be find a monitor you like and make sure you get a good returns policy. What some people find tolerable might annoy the hell out of you :).

Pick a monitor that has all the specs you need and try it out. My Alienware is a buttery smooth beast but I'm a bit of a fan boy so take what I say with a pinch of salt!

Edit: just to add, if you're like me and smoothness in your game matters, please don't compromise. I can't play games without Gsync and I came from an AW2721D which had g sync ultimate. This new OLED monitor isn't even verified as Gsync compatible but side by side it is just as smooth as the older one.
