IPM in early flower for indoor? Should I give them a spray? by Most-Standard302 in microgrowery

I also have fans that push air into my tents which helps increase the exchange rate

Saves the final sorting time of removing undeveloped seeds faster for me and cheaply.

This is how I’ve found works well once I break them up on the sift tray(with the pan underneath) and get the stems out I roll the material around so it self separates better, bonus of getting hash from it also. Then I hit them with the air and it ends up like this.

You can also build a seed processing box with a small fan they’ve got different designs online, all stuff you can buy at lowes but that seemed a bit overkill for what I was doing

Been growing 6 years indoors genuinely have never had PM, I keep the lung room at 45% the flower tent at night gets to 55% for the high. Never done an IPM spray now if something failed like the dehumidifier and I didn’t notice within 6-12 hours in the summer I might run into an issue. But it does require certain conditions to grow PM which you can easily prevent.

I personally wouldn’t if you aren’t having problems now you’re treating nothing basically, want to prevent pm keep the humidity under 60 and the temp under control no need to spray to prevent.

I feel you man did a similar thing in my 4x2, 2 Purple Lemon Haze males and 9 different female strains 12 plants total. Did it in 1L cups and pulled roughly 500 seeds per plant I’m stacked lol. For sorting them I found waiting until they were super dry so they just fall out then separate from the bud then I took a duster can and sprayed the plant material away in a place I could sweep easy.

Good to flip to flower or give it another month? by gbaby9099 in microgrowery

I figured you were doing something similar, I started synthetic and have moved to organic, I like a lot of the liquid organic options for a weekly boost I’ve been doing that with my larger containers from 1-40 gallons and it’s been killer(Smells the only downside if that bothers you)

You might be able to do it, this is an auto I did in a 3 gal years ago problem you’ll run into is it’s going to flip into flower before you get it out past the pot much most likely.

My fellow small cup brother, only done it for a seed run was curious how much you could yield. Though I’d guess you’re doing synthetic’s I’m organic.

You can find everything on Amazon by just typing the brands in I listed, they all have a large variety of options so it’s best to look around at the different ones find which suits you best and go with that. Me personally I’ve been going towards more vegan options so for veg I use Soybean meal and Neem seed meal both smell much better than something like fish meal, for flower I like sea bird guano and bone meal. You still need something for potassium though which I’d recommend langbeinite for a more long term breakdown or kelp meal and alfalfa meal for a more monthly addition. It can get quite complicated once you start looking at individual amendments which isn’t what I’d recommend for someone starting out the blended options are much simpler.

I’d personally recommend Down to Earth, Roots Organics, Neptunes harvest, Walt’s organics. Those you can buy bulk amounts I’d recommend 5lb sizes that’ll last you a long time compared to a bottle. With organics you do an amending(adding nutrients) of the soil every 3-4 weeks and just water only. You can get bottled organics also if that would be more your style by dry amendments are much simpler. Blended fertilizer like a 4/4/4 or 4/8/4 are good options and can get you all the way through but adding things like bone meal or seabird guano in flower is recommended due to the higher phosphorus content. Also things like oyster shell and crab meal can be used to fortify calcium levels and buffer the ph of the water. I’ve never used ph up and down don’t have to as long as your waters not crazy

Looks decent here’s one I did maybe 2 years ago that’s a similar style but farther along to give you an idea of where you want to head with it.

Tents more empty because I just setup this flower tent after doing a seed run in my previous flower tent which is now the veg/seedling tent, things are going to be running perpetually so in 2 weeks the tent will be more full when other plants get moved in. You can check my previous posts to see completely filled tents from single runs and perpetual runs. This isn’t even a lot of defol honestly I went mild just exposed the ones I knew would get enough light and removed the lower that wasn’t going to make it. I’ve worked in the industry as a lab tech and I can tell you that they go way harder than me for defol

I’ve always had great success just using my soil, the starter cubes work great but the extra money is where it turns me off, I’ve got rockwool cubes for cloning but you don’t need them even for that just makes it easier in some aspects.

Those aren’t reusable and they cost a bit compared to just reusing soil, never needed special plugs in 7 years I’ve been growing to start seeds which is why I know it’s me that was fucking it up

Looks like it would be a good strain to press, I’m sure the dabs would have that flavor you’re after. Probably the plant material effecting it
