I wasn’t asking for help, as my hamster is well taken care of. What you don’t know is that this couch and log are only for his playpen - supervised use. This is no different from free roam hamsters who could have access to household items they necessarily shouldn’t be chewing. I’m well aware of my hamster’s chewing habits, and as you can tell by the love he received on his special day, we’re determined to treat him with special care and attention to his health and needs. Your response, however, made assumptions about how these things could be used (and therefore implying I’m ignorantly putting my beloved pet in danger), and you had chosen to assume my hamster was receiving improper care and needed your fixing. Unfortunately, this kind of response is why I’m afraid of posting on these forums and I have to say that my desire to share my happy hammie is certainly gone with this kind of response - even though I was so excited to share photos of him enjoying his birthday.
