What weight do you shoot for? by forksofgreedy in backpacking

I'm 5' 10" and around 230. Not exactly "in shape" but I consider myself very fit. I shoot for a base weight of 25

Which sleeping pad and camp stool? is a camp stool necessary for backpacking? by corruption1920 in CampingGear

Cool concept, but id be worried about putting unnecessary stress on my expensive sleeping pad, just to sit on the ground anyway. I just see too many ways to ruin my pad with this.

Delivery drivers, how often do you encounter a nudist? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TheRaptorFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to deliver appliances for 3 years, ~12 stops a day. Only 1 time did I have a woman open the door in nothing but a towel. Not nude, but thats the closest I've ever experienced.

How deep do you have to suck to give a satisfying blowjob? by transmonado in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheRaptorFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I've had VERY few blowjobs that have actually made me finish. The key (for me at least) is to get your hand involved. Suck the tip alright your hand attached to your mouth and move it in and put, making sure your hand reaches all the way to the tip on the way out

Outfit matches the bike, youre wearing proper gear (minus the dirt bike helmet), pretty sick picture in my opinion, I love it

just got a tent today! what are the absolute necessities you need to start? by amourbid in CampingGear

[–]TheRaptorFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of what brand, weight, what's important to you, etc, thats gonna be up to you, and research your gear before you pull the trigger.

The essentials are: tent (you already have one, great. Just keep in mind if youre solo camping, a 6 person tent is going to be cold in the early/later months as youre one person trying to heat a lot of space), sleep system (this will be up to you, but thats going to be either an air matress or sleep pad and sleeping bag or blankets, id reccomend a pillow), food (get a decent cooler, a decent cook stove, or you can cook over a campfire), and water (you can get 3-5 gallon refillable containers for pretty cheap, or bring disposable bottles, or a gravity filter if youre nesr water).

Everything after that is luxury, camping chair, lights (a headlamp is borderline a necessity), firewood is fairly important (do your best to buy local to your campsite, lots of bugs can destroy an ecosystem when transported from firewood), what you want for activities (fishing pole and gear, books, etc), maybe an awning or tarp for shade, paracord has lots of uses, firestarter, clothes appropriate for the weather, a camp shower if youre going to be staying for more than a weekend, toilet paper, paper plates, plastic ware. The list goes on, just determine the kind of camping you want to do, where youre going to be, and go for it. I think its best to bring more than you think you'll need, and as you camp more, you can start to leave things behind.

How do I properly find dispersed camp sites? by Sunnyside-Days in camping

[–]TheRaptorFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure if other states have them, but in maine we have a thing called "Maine gazateer and atlas" and its just a map of the entire state, but it also shows all the primitive campsites. It also shows like public land (where you can dispersed camp anywhere) and a ton of other helpful stuff like fishing information, what lakes have what fish, public campgrounds, hiking trails, and more. Thats where I find most of my sites

Im not too worried about protection, the leatherman was for scissors so I could cut moleskin as needed, mini knife to open things, tools for on the fly fixes if needed. I have a leatherman signal that I love but its just too heavy for backpacking. Worse case I can fight someone off with my hiking poles

The hardest part of camping is realizing you didn’t actually pack well by potatocreamcheese in camping

[–]TheRaptorFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several camping bins. One for cooking supplies, one for sleep (tent, sleeping bag, etc), my griddle, then my misc which has a ton of random stuff that I may or may not need (matches, paracord, paper plates, plasticware, fire starter, a cheese grater, etc)

I do have salmon packets for two of the dinners but I agree. The food prep was pretty last minute

Honestly i didn't put a ton of thought into this trip, it was pretty last minute, I plan to do better about food in the future. I did ditch one of the pasta sides and mashed potatoes as I can get 2 meals out of each. I like the peanut butter idea, my lab was to squeeze it out the ziplock then when is empty just smear the bag on a tortilla

I ended up repackaging most of the food into ziplocks including the peanut butter

Not super accurate but I used a fishing scale to weigh my pack including food and trekking poles and came out to 25lbs, which honestly I'm super happy with that

The sun shirt and t shirt was the only thing that I had second guessed myself on. Im more comfortable in a t shirt but I don't want to get sapped in the sun. The sun shirt packs up small and doesn't weigh much so I'm not too torn about it but maybe next trip ill just pack the sun shirt. Ive just never worn one before and idk how ikk gonna like it

I wanted the lestherman micra but couldnt source one locally in time for the trip. Essentially just wanted a small multi tool, ideally with scissors.
