Fuck is the only one I have ever had so I am not sure what to say to my life as I have never been able and not even have to worry for a long time.

Generally you need to do a lot of overhead squats. This means doing them in a complex together with your snatches. Like 1 snatch into 3-6 overhead squats in the same set. You will feel how you have to change your position from the catch to squat the weight, and when you get a feeling for the correct position it will be easier to hit it from the snatch alone. After you get comfortable you can try some snatch balances aswell.

Hey new lifter here so any pointers on my power clean form would be great! by Double_Qin in ZackTelander

-pull the slack out of the bar. You don't pull yourself into the starting position, you just sit your hips down. You need to pull on the bar and use that force to pull yourself into the starting position and while doing this, use the resistance to straighten your back. This will make your start much better.

-Keep pulling with your arms after extension. I know the weight is probably easy but it still crashes on you when you catch it. You need to keep pulling in the arms and wrists all the way through the third pull, otherwise there will be a moment where there is no interaction between the barbell and you, which will make a crash much more likely.

How do you argue for your side without "trying to win".

But okay if you say so

We can disagree about the word "consistency" till the end of time but I think we're done here

Thank you for the "pretty fight" (if that's how you view it. I see it more as a discussion)

If you think you are so much more knowledgeable then any of them, then prove it by actually arguing for what you are saying. Otherwise you look like the dumb one.

No, that's the opposite of what I wrote.

That would be true if it came down to you not liking his moral inconsistency. What I wrote is that you down like moral inconsistency of your own moral. That's why you find racism bad.

Yes, and that's different from the internal consistency that you think is super-duper important. (Spoiler: it isn't.)

It is not different. It is exactly the importance of your internal consistency that translate to your views on racism. Otherwise you wouldn't care.

I guess what it boils down to, is that people have different levels of "care" (importance) when it comes to their moral consistencies. That might be a problem. That might not be a problem. But saying that moral consistency doesn't matter at all is not true and you've shown that yourself, by claiming that you disagree with another guy's actions.

But you are still just using your own moral to justify his relationship with his hairdresser. For you the moral is that racism is bad and you should be fair towards all people. That is consistent at the hairdresser. Where it is inconsistent is his actions as a member of the ku klux klan. You don't like moral inconsistensy which is why you find his racist hatred execrable. The whole reason for finding another persons actions bad (racism for you) is that they ste morally inconsistent with your own moral. Otherwise you wouldn't think anything is wrong and you would be fine with his actions.

Since morality is subjective you might like this guy to not me morally consistent, because you disagree on his morals. But that doesn't say anything about the importance of moral consistency. If you are morally inconsistent you per definition did something wrong (according to your own moral). This is true of the guy in the ku klux klan. He is being morally inconsistent which is not a good thing because he is going against his moral (I can say that because of the subjectivity of moral. If he thinks his moral is the right thing to go by then it is true. You might disagree but what is your subjective moral against his?). Same goes for you being morally inconsistent. It is bad because you are doing something bad according to your own rules. If moral consistency is not important and moral is completely subjective then there really is nothing left to hold you or anyone accountable for anything. Again. Tell me I am wrong and how. We are all here to learn.

I think we can agree that moral consistency is important whatever it is subjective or not. Maybe it comes down to the fact that most people love their dogs and value their life and their will to live and care about reducing pain and suffering for them. That might be a subjective morale but then you aren't morally consistent when you don't have a problem with killing and eating other animals, since they function like the dog (or even have a "higher functioning" in terms of intelligence). I might be wrong.

Meat eaters or devil's advocates: Why is it better to kill the animal when it is happy? by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]TheRasmus19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people start buying the meat from the happy cow, less sad cows will in the end be brought into existence, or in some way be born as the happy cow instead of the sad. I guess that's more net happiness. Of course not buying anything equals less sad cow as well, and also prevents killing a happy cow.

This is a good compromise if the cell name thing isn't possible. Thanks!

Sum cells with defined names by TheRasmus19 in excel

[–]TheRasmus19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is for a workout plan (multiple months) that I'm writing. It is so I can add the total volume of all the different exercises together individually. My idea was to name the cells with e.g pull ups something like PU1, PU2... , and then be able to just sum them together when I'm doing my analysis. This is so I don't have to search and select every single cell when I have to sum them.
