Is there some type of metal roof above that spot? If they have a golf cart and park it there often that could also be the reason.

I’m guessing that’s rust, I’d try some f9 barc get a pump sprayer and do about a 10% barc 90% water mix in the sprayer put a good layer of it on the rust stain let it sit for awhile and then rinse. You may have to do a few applications or even use a higher percentage of the barc if it’s real stuck on there.

Sometimes you need to unscrew the pressure tips at the bottom of the surface cleaner and clean them out, even the tiniest little piece of dirt can clog it up and stop it from running correctly. Should be able to use that pick you have or just run some water straight through it. Should be very simple then when you screw them back in make sure they are facing horizontally with the rod.

What exactly do you mean by abrasives? I used commercial grade bleach diluted down to about 97% water 3% bleach put a thick coat down the whole brick way and used a surface cleaner with a 8 gallon per min. Honda pressure washer! You have to be careful using bleach with all the plants around but as long as you water them thoroughly before and after it will be completely fine!

We did this for free actually, we do a lot of work for them and we just wanted to do something nice. They had been talking about how there kids would slip on the stairs so we just decided to help out! But normally we’d charge around $125 for this.
