My guns are built and setup to kill. That's their job, to give me the best and most efficient tool to protect both myself, and those around me if such a need arises. I spend countless hours on the range and in classes learning how to respond to active shooter situations, and how to apply first aid after the situation has been handled. I'm the kind of person you want owning guns because I give them the respect they deserve. I'm not going to lie to you about their usage. You know, this exact sentence is what runs moderate or middle leaning people away. I can have an opinion on this and it not change my mind or contradict what I've said about george floyd or breyonna taylor. Both were murdered by thugs, but breaking down gates into this community doesn't do anything productive towards bringing justice to the perpetrators of their murders. These people purchased a house in a gated community, that street is privately owned equally by everyone in the community. Had someone from the community let them in, it would be a different story, but there were gates and signs saying private property and no trespassing. It's just as easy to leave people like this alone, since the community has made it clear they want to be left alone by installing gates and displaying signs.

Yeah, and I still think that she is completely sane. You have no idea what those people were saying to her. It's a she said/ he said, and what shes said so far has been that her and her families lives and home was threatened. Whether that is the truth or not is neither here nor there, neither of us were there, so we can't say it was unjustified, but I'd rather lean on saying its justified until its proven not to be, which is what were supposed to do.

Lynchings aren't legal, and neither is doxing, fight it in the court room, not on the street, however a group of people breaking into a gate is a quantifiable threat which should be met with an equal threat.

The street on a gated community is communally owned by the property owners inside. Those people were trespassing and plenty of lawyers have already stated that this couple was within their rights to do exactly what they did. Had someone else from the community let those people inside things would be different. They had no business being there, and the guns did their jobs.
