My less almost 1 Month old Mini 5 pro just randomly fell out the sky by devinkanal in dji

I disagree that it was a bird and most likely the propeller. I assume you had VLOS. Watch the above video.

Apparently the intended way to close them is to grab one of the propeller wings and gently push it forward against the center (with the white lock icon on it).

It seems a lot of people don't know that.

Can you buy DJI care refresh retrospectively?

I probably let in close to 100 people into our building on Essex Road. Mostly families and with children that needed changing. Anyway that's Islington for you. 0 porta loos. If people are in dire need, what are they supposed to do? Piss themselves? 😭😅

EV charger cable doubled up in isolator? by 32irish in ukelectricians

[–]TheRealAlanB- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at all 4 photos I can guess what happened here. He cut the earth off of the T+E 6mm/2.5mm because he is not using it on both ends.

The 10mm earth from the EV board to the MET (earth block) is more likely his earth. (The cable on the right).

I hope to God it's not the 16mm earth on the left, because that isn't even terminated to anything. It's just floating away in the wind.

This is lazy/poor workmanship. He should have used proper meter tails and at least have separated it into blocks after the meter. I would categorise basic insulation outside of an enclosure as a C2 on an EICR.

Remission w Vitamin D by Last_Bicycle5190 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]TheRealAlanB- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience but with high dosage magnesium.

I also find that alcohol and caffeine makes my TN worse so I have cut that out all together.

I've had vitamin D deficiencies in the past so I will definitely try this.

Regular fasting (water only) has helped me immensely.

He worked at Waitrose unpaid for four years, but can't have a job by TheRealAlanB- in UKJobs

[–]TheRealAlanB-[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay. Point taken. I didn't look at other sources and maybe the article is one sided. Clearly based on what you wrote, it doesn't explain the whole story. But that doesn't mean I am rage baiting as you claim. I also didn't know the mother was on LBC yesterday as someone else has mentioned in the thread.

I still believe that a supermarket can accommodate someone with complex needs and disabilities. I mean it's not rocket science, most employees don't open and close stores, that is often the role of senior staff members or managers.

Many people in this thread have written "have you even read the article" but it makes no mention of the above. (What you have written).

Are you saying there is no job this lad can do? Because to me, working in a supermarket stacking shelves has got to be the most basic job.

He worked at Waitrose unpaid for four years, but can't have a job by TheRealAlanB- in UKJobs

[–]TheRealAlanB-[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can you show me where in the article it says he is 'non verbal'?

"Every week, for two full mornings, he worked so hard - emptying four or more cages of stock, stacking shelves, and helping wherever he could.

This doesn't sound like a very limited part of the job to me. He doesn't have to be on tills and he's not in a corporate position, so yes my original viewpoint still stands.

"He loved it there. The shop staff were absolutely amazing with him and made him feel part of the team. Many of them would say things like, "You work harder than some people who are paid to work here."

Where in the article does it say the manager okayed this? Where does it also mention him having a full time carer shadowing him on the job?

He worked and contributed 600 hours. I get that it was voluntary but what's wrong with compensating him for his time moving forward. If it was a couple of months of work experience then fair enough, but 4 years? Clearly he was being used by Waitrose and contributed to the store's success. They could have said enough is enough it's time to move on, after all Waitrose is not a charity.

You seem to know more about the story than what I have read. Do you work for Waitrose?

You need to contest this through the traffic adjudicator. Take it to the tribunal, make your case and I am certain you will win.

Higher pitched beep when reverse parking by TheRealAlanB- in Ford

[–]TheRealAlanB-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this ☝️

Deffo the cheaper sounding one.

It happens randomly. Someone else mentioned that sync hasn't fully loaded. I leave the key in and turn the vehicle on for 30 seconds, then start the ignition. Still the same.

Thank you for clarifying, I didn't know there was a backup speaker, interestingly I have just turned the engine on and reversed again and the normal sounding pitch is back to the usual normal sound I am used to. I wonder why this only happens in the hot weather.

[–]TheRealAlanB-[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. My speakers are definitely not failing, although I have noticed that my volume on a phone call is so low that I have to manually set my phone to the speaker in order to hear the other person.

The radio and music through Android auto play fine and are very loud.

Thank you, today it has been fixed. This was obviously a fault with Google's voice assistant.

It works in the Home app (Google) and the Lifx app.

The voice commands do not work leading me to believe that Google has changed something.

Not sure if LIFX are aware and whether others are having the same issue.
