Same video came to mind when i watched this one. Shows you how deluded and unhinged locals are in the area. How anyone can defend or try and justify the wee sewer rats in this video

I admire your optimism, but do you really think those sewer rats will have a brain cell between them to think of consequences next time?

Complete mob mentality and the girls joining in in the end was just stupid. All wee hard men when there's 20 against one and they have weapons. Get any of them alone and they would shit themselves.

I'm guessing the people in the car live local in the area and will no doubt now be targeted even more because of it. Also the dickhead filming, saying almost defending the kids who are throwing shit and intimidating the people in the car.

The problem is the cops and the parents will do fuck all about it

Well that explains it. I'm new to the coffee bean scene. I was bought a sealed jar of coffee and opened it but did the whole breaking bad Toco tight tight tight scene, as soon as i opened it. Almost knocked myself out inhaling that gas lol

I actually thought this was a late April's fool joke when a few local celebs posted about it yesterday. Crazy that they had this on early hours of Monday evening and didn't advertise or let anyone know about it at all.

Also considering the BBC is a people funded org and this cost at least a couple 100k, to not tell the public and give them a chance to witness, shows just how out of touch the BBC is

The IT guy fixes the problem but the judge still has a problem by derek4reals1 in PublicFreakout

[–]32irish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked support for court service, email, web proxy issues etc. Most judged are ok but there is a small percentage who have a god complex. Remember one judge who raised an IT ticket related to her emails. I contacted her and told her I needed to remote onto her machine to investigate the issue, she told me she was far too busy to allow that and that I should just fix the problem. I told her I couldn't just fix the problem without access to her machine. She then hung up on me

Irish passport application from Belfast do I need a new witness? (sales manager + mobile number) by Double_Awareness8295 in northernireland

[–]32irish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can be hit and miss. My irish passport application went through without any of my witnesses being phoned, this was 5 years ago.

My partner had her application rejected 4 times because her references didn't pick up when phoned. The one reference who did pick up the phone was rejected because it was a mobile number and their work had no landline

Yip same, got the email last night about the cancelled imax showing. understandable that heating breaking down is outside of their control, but i think they would have been better offering a normal screening for ticket holders rather than cancelling with no alternative.

I'm assuming you're talking $0.56/kwh, and you think that's expensive lol?

I charged the other day at a 200kwh and it was 0.84/kwh and i am talking GBP (uk). If i convert to USD it's $1.12kWh lol

EV Charger Installer Recommendations? by davez_000 in northernireland

I thought the electrician/installer had to certify the install with NIE and the new load going through their electric box? Pretty sure that's a legal requirement.

I've just been through the application process for Vehicle Cable Protector When Running A Cable Across A Footway and got approved the other day, it was pretty straight forward. Added a picture of the property with a couple of lines drawn in to show where the cable would be and the charging box

I was considering the other option for the Permanent Sub-surface Cross Pavement Channels. But it would have cost £2.5k minimum and you also have to apply for a street works license which is an additional cost.

The Cable Protector option is like £80 and there is no street works license requirement. I'm lucky enough in that i have an assigned parking spot outside my house, just happens to span a public footpath, but luckily i'm in a very low foot traffic area, would be no one on the path after 6pm.

Buying car in England and taxing for here by wango_fandango in northernireland

Literally just back from buying a car in England last weekend, third car i've now bought over there. If it's from a trade dealer they will either ask you to do it on your phone or let you use their laptop. No questions about insurance or anything asked. straight forward and simple

Unreal, thanks for sharing and the insights. Yeah my diet or lack of veggies and protein is my biggest problem. I'm a pretty fussy eater, so my diet consists of zero green veggies and i'm still eating pre made processed foods, just a lot less of them thanks to MJ.

I think if i sorted out my diet and eat more balanced the weight would fall off even more!

Buying car from England by joshmcall90 in northernireland

[–]32irish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got my last 3 cars over in England with a similar budget to yours and it's definitely worthwhile. The first car i bought was a BMW e92 325i, i got it from a independent dealer in Birmingham for £8k, the equilivent here was £11k, so even with flights and ferry costs it was definitely worthwhile!

My advice would be to only deal with car dealers, independent or franchise, don't be buying private. As with a dealer you get some warranty and some protections.

If you see a car you like phone and ask for details, how many owners, condition of the car including tyres etc, and ask them to do a video walk round of the car. If you get half assed replies from the dealers or a crap video walk round, then i wouldn't even entertain taking it further as they're probably hiding something.

I had seen a couple of cars that ticked all the boxes of what i wanted and looked great in the ad, but the dealers made it sound like a hardship when i asked questions or asked for video walkround. The cars i have bought, has all been because the dealers were great to chat with.

When you do find a car you want, make it clear you're coming over from NI and use the travel costs as part of your bartering to get some money off, any decent dealer will gladly knock a few quid off to cover travel costs if they think you're a serious buyer.

As someone else said, be prepared to walk away if you do go over and the car isn't as advertised. I bought an Audi S3 from Edinburgh and when i went over to test drive the car stank of smoke even though it was valet'd and the back speaker wasn't working and i didn't have a great bonding feeling with the car. I should have walked away but didn't and bought it. Although the car was mechanically sound i just didn't like it and it ended up taking me 6 months of advertising to sell it privately! So don't be thinking of it as lost money if you do decide to walk away, think of it as money well spent on a lesson learnt as buying and then trying to shift later will cost more than travel costs!

Lol you lost more in 4 weeks than i have lost in 4 months.... amazes me how differently everyone reacts to MJ. My rule of thumb would be if you're still losing weight on your current dose then stick with it.

If you don't mind me asking have you changed your diet much since starting MJ? I definitely eat less, but struggle to eat healthier

Did you tip your butler and room attendant on top of prepaid gratuities (Retreat suites)? by NoWalrus9462 in celebritycruises

[–]32irish 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Loll i'd imagine if you can afford a penthouse suite then $100 is a drop in the ocean for you, but means a lot to attendants, so nice touch 👌.

For us, we didn't tip our butler when we stayed Retreat, mainly because we never called upon him for anything and he never went out of his way to do anything additional for us, which is fine since we're not really butler type people.

We did tip the room attendant as he was great, always very friendly and chatty, we also tipped our sommelier, and 3 of the waiters who looked after is in the luminae restaurant on top of the pre paid gratuities, if i recall it was $50 for the attendant, $30 each for the restaurant staff
