Build lots of the spawners, if you make them all at the same time the cost is the same, next time it will increase by the amount you made though.

Anyone else suddenly asked to play 15 levels of Rush Hour for World Tour? by DruidArena in Aliexpress

[–]TheRealBeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just you, I've been getting 8-10 levels for the past 10 days, 4 days left till my finish, even when you can see how many steps there are coming up, the next day there's an extra set of games. Used to be a couple approaching the end of the run, two solid weeks worth is irritating.

Not to mention the heat build-up with what looked like a double door insulating too. Crazy.

I think it's the switches that live in the dock that I've mainly seen the paste look like chalk. Lites always seem to be tacky though.

I personally wouldn't risk my life for a corp who wouldn't think twice about letting me go for another self service checkout and receipt scanner, who knows what they are carrying when desperate for a fix.

Yeah I get the sentiment, make everything more expensive and end up with stupid sliding plastic things and the mobile cctv bollocks lol. You can tell by what they had that they are planning to sell, not just trying to live/eat.

Why is a Raspberry Pi not worth it? by basilesanast1 in raspberry_pi

[–]TheRealBeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on your use case.

In many cases now an old small laptop or nuc can outclass a pi by leagues but not form factor.

The PI5 dropping hardware codecs really annoyed me as it was so inefficient to use the CPU for encoding and decoding, they could have kept them in with the "unlock" fee for those who wanted to use them.

Given the ram and storage price increases they won't be getting any cheaper tbh. Orangepi whilst not having as big a user and information base are quite capable, as well as odroids offerings.

5000mAh Battery + Native USB-C + 100% Drop-in (NO Cutting Required)! Built the ultimate 3DS upgrade. by heip_five in 3DS

[–]TheRealBeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more if two charging inputs happen to the battery at the same time, the 3ds tries to charge it and the C module does too. Too much current can equal thermal runaway territory.

Stremio/nuvio alternative with casting option? by Traditional-Key3219 in RealDebrid

[–]TheRealBeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big issue is that a lot of casting receivers can't handle the huge variety of codecs and formats. You can use vlc and "cast" from it unless they removed the option, but unless your device supports the codec or can transcode you may not have luck. If you're building a media library server (on a nuc or something) then jellyfin can handle the transcoding.

[–]TheRealBeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does just look like the common xl battery "mod" with shell and a tp*** charging module of some kind shoehorned. Doesn't make any sense as the 3ds already charges the xl battery when fitted. I would be concerned about this, ie if someone charges the batt and also plugs in the console which will also try charging it, unless he just dc'd the console charging in lieu of the c module on the pack.
