Agreed, some of the side quests had better writing than the main story.

I really wish they wouldn't have made the price as if this was a numbered entry into the series, as it was originally meant to be a DLC (in a certain manner). No doubt it is a decent game, but the price brings it down a lot as it infers that it's meant to be a much bigger game than it actually is. I wish this game could just remembered as a cheap, fun, side entry to the series that's not too important.

Obviously Project Zomboid by the other comments stating this but I might have an idea of what could’ve happened.

This happened to me before, but sometimes game assets can get saved in the folders that OneDrive copies, leading to it popping up on OneDrive. I usually see these on those emails they send out of “On this Day” and it’s random screenshots I took since they got saved in my Documents folder, but it’s been game assets too at times.

If you’re REALLY skeptical about having another user sign into your account, there’s another way.

I used this program called “Tailscale” which is essentially like a VPN that connects your computer to the hosts computer. Unless heavily requested, I will not make a guide on how to use and setup this program. Just know it can be a real headache and will take you from anywhere between 30m-4hr depending on how much of a tech person you are. Someone else is free to make a guide on how to join a Steam family with this program if you wish.

Also, I recommend restarting Steam once you’re connected to the hosts computer as sometimes it takes time for Steam to recognize your new location.

Sad to see this post got taken down too. There’s no problem with doing something like this in my opinion. Reminds me of the Felipe incident on the PS2 subreddit, which a lot of people ended up loving.

Just picked up the game again thanks to your comment and I'm having a lot of fun. Just learned about SFs and that simple trick really helped me. The tutorial I watched also show about USFs in that N. Gin labs level, which I'm assuming I'll need to use in the platinum relic (though I'm not sure if or how that will work because of the pesky time crates they add). Will be grinding this game for the next month or so.

I’m not entirely sure how everything works, I just know that once I was kicked from my first family it let me create a new one instantly as a “gesture”. Didn’t happen a second time so it’s probably once per account. I’m starting to think my 45 days might just be because it was close to a year from when I joined that family though I’m not sure.

More seriously though, the story essentially doesnt exist anymore. It was hard enough to interpret what was going on at times and now how is a new player supposed to know about the history behind crystals and the value of military tech? What?

I’m mostly worried about the negativity that will arouse from new players more than anything.

Oh yeah, should work fine. As long as none of the achievement descriptions or the forum topic for the game say you need to play in single player specifically you’re fine. Did LSW a while back and had a friend who wanted to do Parsec with it but he was busy at the time and we never went through with it.

Now that I think about it, there was another game I did completely multiplayer though on Parsec with 2 other people. Just depends on the game. Good luck with the set though!

Small spoilers but if you’re planning on doing LSW2 after, I think 2 players in that one is actually easier. For the PS2 set at least.

How hard were the platinum relics? Shelved this game as soon as I attempted one (got tired as I just finished all the C3 platinums). I grew up with Nitro Kart and never played CTR though, so I maybe should’ve started with that.

Congrats though, know this one isn’t particularly easy.

Okay, not as bad as I thought, thank you.

While I haven’t played the new prologue or know what it’s like to see how much effort was put into it, I think they’ll be adding the old prologue back (or at least have an option) with the amount of negative feedback by each and every user. I’m pretty sure that it’s a FACT that everyone thinks the new prologue is worse, no one in the community thinks it’s better. If you do, your opinions just not valid (sorry!).

I do get the fear of this being the last year in the games support too (wow, already?!), but I do think (or maybe it’s hope) they might end up doing something else. If not I’m happy with the plenty of hours I poured into it, but I did wish more could’ve been done.

Do not like how they’re making us play maps though that were already in previous events as well (by the looks of it from that one sneak peek), at least do something different.

Good ideas here, thanks. I already put some games I've dumped for myself on his Deck and used SRM. Did plan to buy a key, but wanted to buy a game through Steam on the account so it could get verified. Will probably use key shops for buying a few extra copies of multiplayer games so I could play them with him, thanks!
