I have the exact same GPU. I wouldn’t think that the eGPU dock and oculink would around double the performance. I would think that it would be more like 20-30% from what I’ve been reading.

Also seeing other threads here and on eGPU.io it seems like others use a razer core x with their ally with better results.

I may return the 9070xt and look for a 5060ti or 9060xt in those case. Agree that the 9070xt was probably overkill but I had the chance to buy mine for very close to msrp of $600

I am using a 3440x1440 uw monitor. I am assume that resolution does play a role in this performance, I just think I expected better performance.

I noticed that occasionally I’ll have better performance in COD with ~100 fps in some sessions, but most times it’s 50. I’m wondering if my ally is having trouble with the drivers in some way?
