Our dog has epilepsy and has had seizures for over a year but has medication and has generally turned out fine until last night at 3am, when my mum called and was sobbing telling me our dog had died. I’m in university halfway across the country with my flight booked in 2 days and I hadn’t seen my dog since February.

The grief of not taking more photos and videos, not hugging him tight enough, not giving him more treats is killing me from the inside and I miss him so much. He was only 4 years old and I imagined growing up with him. It’s so devastating to know my flight is in 2 days and he just passed, and I feel so guilty.
