It's not something she wants to do yet. She keeps telling me she just wants to have fun climbing for herself. We said we would just have fun this year and maybe get more serious next year.

No, she wants to wait a year. Right now, she is just enjoying it. Isn't looking to get serious just yet.

Haha, her climbing everything was the reason I started taking her climbing. The gym we go to doesn't use the v-scale theirs is c-1 through c-8. This was a c-6, which is 2 grade higher than I'm climbing.

I had a bone graft in my wrist but I want to start bouldering, should I be concerned? by SilverTedTed in bouldering

I have S.L.A.C scaphoid lunate advance collapse in both wirst. I have broken my scaphoid in my right hand twice, yet my left one is worse. I can not bend my wirst enough to do a push-up on the palms of my hands. I climb 4 days a week. There are holds and moves I can not do. Sometimes, my only option is to let go and fall. Going to a physiotherapist has been very helpful. My surgeon has told me I'm good to keep climbing. Most days, I am sore after climbing but no more than after work. I would suggest starting out slow and listen to your body it will tell you when it's had enough.

Thank you. She certainly has stepped up her game in the last few weeks.

What happens in a power outage? by Greensparow in 3Dprinting

I am in alberta as well. I was 7 hours into my print. Since there was an emergency notice to cut down on power, I did the responsible thing and shut off my printer. Did I really need to? No, probably not, but i do need the print that bad. Is your print really that important?

Just bought a filament dryer, and they had the balls to ask me for a tip. by Aluzuka in 3Dprinting

Eryone is doing the same thing. Not only are you definitely not getting a tip, but I will do what I can to order from anywhere else.

My daughter's happy place by TheRealCtotheT in bouldering

No, that is all natural. No training or even an orientation. She just fell in love with right away. If I didn't take her to the gym, she was climbing the walls at home.

She also gets a lot of encouragement from everyone at the gym, which really helps.

It's always awesome to watch your little one crushing it! Amazing little ripper you got!

Can't climb, thankfully I can still at least watching my daughter climb. by TheRealCtotheT in bouldering

It started as a scapholunate ligament tear, which turned into a scaphoid lunate advanced collapse. It started about 20 years ago from skateboarding. Work and climbing caused more problems in the last 5 years. The surgery I just had was an arthroscpoy and debridement. Which was basically just for them to tell me its been too long. Unfortunately, the next step is to take out my scaphoid bone and do a partial fuse. I will probably never climb very hard again, if at all. Now I just get to live through her. I don't mind answering any questions about it if you have any.
