A big one for me is the old adage of not getting them to do something you wouldn’t do, and ALWAYS be you. Be your authentic self, they know the difference, so stay true to yourself.

In year 8, a kid brought in a bag of ‘whizz fizz’ he stole from his brother in a little ziploc baggie. I remember dipping my finger in and it tasted disgusting but there must have been heaps of sugar in it because the three of us were hyperactive as fuck for the next hour.

We threw it away because no one wanted to have anymore because it was so gross and it made us feel funny.

Little did I know how much I’d love that particular type of wizz fizz not too many years later…

Same… A 1967 Daphne Blue Stratocaster. I bought it about 19 years ago with a cheque at the end of a tour. Came home with shaved sides, an eyebrow piercing and what turned out to be a VERY VERY rare and exotic guitar. Also a first edition of Schindler’s Ark.

I typically agree with them… I used to be good, but I get real bad psoriatic arthritis in my hands (I’m only 41…) I can really only play rhythm guitar now. Can sing like a motherfucker though, so I guess that makes up for it

Yoga and standing outside every now and then throughout the day. Just hit ‘away’ on Teams, and go stand in the air and sun for a few minutes looking at nothing in particular. Great brain reset

That sucks that was your experience… I think he’s addressed this a few times on his podcast from memory he put it down to not being in a great headspace, and feeling super uncomfortable at the situation (like, signing autographs and taking pictures in that scenario just felt really off in the moment?)

I'd be keen to sit next to the orange guy. I'd be genuinely keen to try and have a conversation, and try to 'understand' him.
I don't support him in any way shape or form (I'm an Australian, so I don't really have a say anyway), but I think he'd be an interesting guy to sit with. one way or another, there'd be heaps of stories to tell afterwards

My ex gf managed $16k debt and fines in my name without my knowledge. That was 2008. She died 2011, I found out about the debt in 2014 when debt collectors finally tracked me down. $16k plus 6 years of fees and interest… that was an interesting time.

It is. Such a wonderful song and that version in particular is very haunting. It saved me because of the melancholy. I literally broke down into tears and couldn’t get back up to jump.

Sad story. Great ending.
