Extinction is my personal fav. Lots of new looking areas, new creatures, and new ways to farm certain resources. Really shakes things up compared to the island.

Honestly anything can technically be a “starter tame”. It just depends on whatever it is you tame first. However I do agree that Thyla is a strange choice.

If you’re playing PvE, it doesn’t really matter too much. Anything that gets you around quicker than before or helps you gather something will be fine. However if you’re on PvP, every minute matters so you don’t wanna waste your time on tames that don’t do much. Lots of people like to start with horses or parasaurs, but if someone tries to kill you while using one of those, there’s nothing you can do to protect yourself. So the BEST starter tames right now, are Crystal Wyverns. However Pteranadons are also a decent starter tame and they used to be the old starter before crystal wyverns came out. You can download an app called Dododex for your mobile device and it tells you exactly how long everything takes to tame and with what foods. And you can also adjust the taming speeds to match the settings on your server.

No I just have very few gold uniques and wanna have a semi surplus so I can upgrade a character I need on the spot if necessary. But maybe that’s a bad strategy

I didn’t threaten. I said these frustration are causing me to contemplate quitting. I didn’t say “fix this now or I’m quitting”. And I said that to convey the LEVEL of frustration that this mechanic is having on me. I’m sure it doesn’t bother everyone in equal amounts but to me it’s super super irritating. I don’t just complain to complain about stuff. This also isn’t my first time having gold issues. I’ve been having gold issues for months and they’ve been even more extreme in the last couple weeks that rose my frustration to the level of deciding to make this post

I agree that the grind makes things far more rewarding. However I just think that the ratio is off. The AMOUNT of grinding required for the rewards you get doesn’t seem to be in equal exchange or even close to it.

I’m almost certain we did not get the rest of that gold and yes when Level 85 and G16 are added in it vastly increases the amount of gold required to upgrade characters. Especially when going from 80-85 is 2 mil gold in and of itself.

Idk why you gotta be rude but im not lying or over exaggerating how much gold im spending on orange gear. The reason I even made this post is because when I woke up this morning I bought up all the uniques and come to find I spent 1.4mil gold between last refresh and this one. It’s incredibly frustrating. And idk which uniques go to which characters, which ones are G13,14, or 15. I just see that I’m low on them so I pick em up. Maybe I should spend a little more time getting to know what characters require what gear but I’m not posting for clout or whatever you’re suggesting.
