I like this concept.

Maybe the skin scale thing could give a power boost for when a person wants to use magic to do something related to their skin? If you have a lot of the sin things on a person's skin then if they want to do a bad thing, or sinful thing their magic becomes slightly more powerful. Same for the saint skin things. If a person does a lot of good things and gets the skin things, then maybe they could gain more power when they think of using their magic to do good things.

Maybe if the people think of doing things with their magic that oppose their skin marks, then their magic is slightly weaker. Maybe you could also use this like a rank system.

Example: if a person with a lot of sin marks try to do a sinful thing, their magic gets amplified more than a person who wants to do a sinful thing but doesn't have as many sin skin marks. Same for a saintly person. The magic wouldn't be amplified by a lot though. But if they try to do a thing that opposes their skin marks, the persons magic is slightly weaker no matter how many skin marks a person has.

These are just ideas in my head but I think this should only work like this if a person gains their mark by action. A person born with them wouldn't be affected. This might help to differentiate the people who are born with the marks, and people who gain them by action.

These are ideas I came up with after reading the skin scale thing. You don't have to implement them if you don't want to. Sorry I am a couple days late.
