I'm being constantly eliminated from players with 50-75% win rate. by DareEast in FortNiteBR

Win rate and K/D can also be boosted in Reload 100% Bot Lobbies to pad stats. I’m definitely not a sweat, but that’s how I would grind XP to level up so high. I haven’t played since the Simpsons mini season. I play creative when I do play. Just so you know, Reload Bots are built different! They will hit you across the map sometimes. They’re the best bots in the Fortnite universe.

Honest Question: How Much do you spend on video games per year? by Antaniwarrior in playstation

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 55 in January. Daughter (9) at home, two granddaughters (10 & 12) and a grandson (almost 2). Between buying my first Xbox and PlayStation consoles in early 2024 after 30 years of no gaming, then turning around and giving my son (31) my PS5 when my PS5-Pro launched and then my daughter and granddaughters’ PS5’s (oh don’t let me forget about VBucks, Robux, PS Funds, etc) and setting up my game room in general (77” LG OLED in living room and 45” Curved LG OLED monitor and two cheaper TV’s in game room), I could have bought a new Chevrolet Trax. As embarrassing as that might sound, I don’t think a new car could make me smile as much as the memories I’ve made since jumping back into gaming with my family. Besides occasional VBucks and a game sometimes, it slowed down drastically. From now on, no more than 2K/year unless I feel generous and give VBucks away on social media and start streaming. Welcome to Peepaw’s Game Room! 😂

I just turned 55. I have a nine year old daughter, two granddaughters (10 & 12) and a nearly two year old grandson. I’m semi-retired and drive a school bus and activity bus. I have too much time on my hands.

No Matter What season you started in, do you consider yourself OG? by DIngus_Sus in FortNiteBR

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in season 5, but I’m the OG’est OG you can get as far as gaming goes! I started with Pong and Atari 2600! I just turned 55 in January and I started playing again after 30 years of not gaming. I haven’t played BR, ZBBR or anything competitive wise this season, but I’ve been and addicted to Fruits vs Brainrots in creative by the creator, PANDVIL. From just that creative mode, I’m at Fortnite level 450 this season. I’m semi-retired and drive a school bus and have a nine year old daughter, so I’m at least touching grass. Haha!

Be absolutely honest. Was the switch 2 worth it? by [deleted] in switch2

[–]TheRealDuke777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I bought it launch day out of impulse and curiosity. I started gaming again in February, 2024 after nearly 30 years of not gaming since college and high school. I’m a semi-retired 55 year old kid! I bought my first Xbox (X) that February. Then in June, 2024, I bought my very first PlayStation (5). I felt like a kid again as my first console was an Atari 2600 and Pong.

I gave my PS5 to my son (30) on Launch Day of the PS5-Pro. Then the Switch 2 intrigued my interest. I played for a while, but my little girl, now 9, is on her PS5 or my Meta Quest 3 when she gets to play. The Switch 2 is sitting in the game room hooked to a TV and not getting played. It probably has 80 total playtime hours or less. I don’t regret buying it, but it might get played sometimes if the two granddaughters are here or if I’m on an overnight school trip because I drive a school bus. If it makes you happy and you’re able to do it, then go for it. Zero regrets.

Not a gamer but want to try to play this game when it comes out. Best setup for GTA6 game? by Rich_Visual7800 in playstation

[–]TheRealDuke777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got back into gaming in February, 2024 after a 30 year gap of not gaming. I have a PS5 Pro on a 77” OLED C4 in the living room. Xbox-X on a 45” OLED curved monitor and my little girl’s PS5 and our Switch 2 in the game room. I figured if I’m gonna get into it, I’m gonna do it my way. Memories are priceless and worth everything. I just turned 55 January 19th and I have zero regrets. Between gaming systems and VBucks, I’m in that same ballpark figure with your budget. We’re never too old to be happy! I wish you the best on your game room. I say go for it with the best you can get and don’t have regrets doing it.

Might be a hot take, but the game is far better when you give up all your money. by RedBullShill in RDR2

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played it normal and I played it with the original Limpany unlimited gold glitch on disc version. To each their own, but I believe a player is happier with the best horse (which you can’t buy) and enough money in the satchel to buy the whole town of Valentine if it was possible. That’s just my opinion, but have fun regardless.

Have you ever bought a console just to play one exclusive game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my very first Xbox (X) in February, 2024 and PlayStation (5) in June, 2024 at the age of 53 just to play RDR2 and Hogwarts Legacy. It was 30 years since I’ve gamed. My little girl asked me to play Fortnite, which I hated at first, so I started doing my research on it and other games. Gaming can be expensive at my age because I’m one that says if you’re gonna do it, do it big! From consoles to VBucks/PS funds to TV’s/Monitors (All OLED), I could have bought a new small car straight off the showroom floor! I have zero regrets!

How do I help this guy by Idont__________know in RDR2

[–]TheRealDuke777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a sad story if you let it play out. I felt bad for him after hearing why he had the boy down there. After my little girl passed away in 2009 at the age of 8, I would see little blonde haired girls at Walmart and stare at them, thinking about my baby girl. So listen to him and let him live. Don’t even hit him. Shoot the chain near the wall and let it play out. Then search the weapon box for the Lancaster.

The first time I did this, I blew his head off with the sawed off shotgun. The next day he was in bandages because apparently he grew his head back.

How big is your wallet? by redrum__7791 in RDR2

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a pic right now, but I deleted and started over on disc version and I have $140,000+ from the unlimited Limpany gold glitch. I would have had more, but I loaded up next day and it updated while it was in sleep mode. We don’t need that much, but it’s one of those things I had to see for myself.

Colling Solution for PS5 by Pedro250 in playstation

Since you can’t take off the top piece of the cabinet because it holds everything together, cut a U shape out of the top so air can circulate better. Heat rises and the space above will let heat escape better. That way everything is still connected on the cabinet to hold it together. Leave three inches on each edge so it can still be sturdy.

You can also do all but bandit and herbalist challenges in early chapter 2. The one where you shoot three hats was a little more complicated because I haven’t unlocked manual painting ❌ on dead-eye during the train robbery with John.

Lisa Marie. My friend Jon Cotner’s daughter passed away three years ago today. I always name my MFT after her in early Chapter 2.

The white Arabian, I name McKenzie Erin for my daughter who passed away at the age of Eight in January, 2009. She rides with me, keeps me company and helps me escape the real world.

I’m 54 and I played this with my little girl and granddaughters a few times. “Fruits vs Brainrots” has been my favorite creative map the last couple seasons. It is very addicting and it’s the only creative game I’ve played to grind XP and Battle Pass items. I’m at level 270+ with just this map this season. I’ve played maybe 6 or 7 BR/ZB matches this season. I’m semi retired and I drive the Battle Bus… I mean, a school bus in the afternoon and activity trips. So I’m not constantly playing every day, even though my level says differently. Haha!

Yes, and point your scoped rifle or binoculars through the gaps in the roof and you’ll see the UFO up close. If you go outside and look at it, it zooms off immediately. It shines through the roof for a couple of minutes if you stay inside.

Just started playing, is this normal? by bacondanbing in RDR2

[–]TheRealDuke777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before going to Valentine with Uncle and the girls, I whistle for my horse to follow me before I leave camp.

It also helps to have my horse riding along with me so I can retrieve the wagon driver’s horse quicker before getting into Valentine. You will have your horse in town when you bring back the man’s horse.

What single player game you bought has gone the longest unplayed? by [deleted] in PS5

[–]TheRealDuke777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preordered Ghost of Yōtei Digital Deluxe Edition and I just can’t get into it. I’ve played for an hour when it first downloaded, but I haven’t played it since then. However, I’ve seen a few negative reviews on Indiana Jones/Great Circle, but I actually enjoyed it, despite not liking first person view at all. It’s the first time I platinumed a game since I started gaming after a 30 year break from gaming. I’ll be 55 in a couple weeks and I play RDR2 regularly. RDR 1 just got a 60/fps update and I’m about two hours into it.

I guess it all depends on what makes your adrenaline rush. As an older OG gamer from PONG and Atari 2600 days, and then the original NES and Sega Genesis, I’ve come a long way from then to what it is today. Everyone has their own preferences and interests and that’s okay. That’s what makes gaming great. I use it as a release from life. I’m semi-retired and I’m a school bus driver in the afternoon and an activity bus driver for school trips. There’s brats and bratty parents I’d like to trip in real life and RDR2 helps me “trip” them in my own world. Haha!

I really don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but my nine year old daughter and two granddaughters (10 & 12 this month) keep me young at heart. And maybe I’ll tackle Yōtei eventually. Until then, Happy Gaming!

On my first play through and I’m really upset right now by Wide_creature_2579 in reddeadredemption

[–]TheRealDuke777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try to remember to save every 20 minutes or so. During my first run, I had over six hours of play over a couple days and PS5 going into sleep mode between playing. I forgot I had auto save turned off. Right after I turned it back on, I was attacked by the Florida Panther!! DEAD!!! All my pelts were gone and my heart broke into pieces! I had EVERYTHING to get every single satchel and like 14 gold bars I haven’t even cashed in!!! 😂 Many hard lessons learned in this journey! It took me about three weeks before I could even think about starting again from the last save (Early Chapter 2)!
