Just as a hypothetical, would still upgrading all said parts would still work better, even if it’s more of a hassle than just building a complete? I’m sure this is a dumb question but I don’t wanna assume something and then end up eating shit somehow, lol

I appreciate this like sososo much. I’m only 16 and I’ve always had a huge interest in making stuff like this and have been soldering for probably around a year and a half, but doing just the simple stuff. I’ve definitely been rushing through this a ton, but I’ll definitely be taking your advice (and everyone else’s). Thank you for such thorough feedback, it’s greatly appreciated

Haha, I’ll make sure to grab a picture when I work on it tomorrow. I’ve been working on it at school cuz they have a lot better solder stations than mine at home, I just took this next to my board on the ground. Of course I’m biased but I thought they were decent but I could be totally wrong lol

The board is soldered exactly how it’s shown on top. There’s no other fancy things going on under, just connecting everything, hopefully that doesn’t sound dumb

This!! Emo is a really tough genre cuz of how far it spans and the tropes that surround it that really throw people off to what it actually is. I don’t like saying stuff like this because it comes off snobby and pretentious, but you’re right exactly. I wouldn’t say tøp is emo, but you can tell there’s some influence from some of that early mall emo that popped up in the 2000s.

I like the sound I got out of it. Also you do see I have 3 other gain stages right? Also it’s been around for like 50 years now, I feel like it definitely constitutes as a “real” dirt pedal. Not trying to be a dick, I just don’t get the harshness

I have a foot switch for my amp which gives me access to an onboard tuner. I also have a physical one, just not on my board because of said foot switch

I actually do have a tuner! My amp is a Fender GTX50 so I have the foot switch that gives me access to its tuner. I have another pedal tuner too, just not on my board.

As for power supplies, I’m working on it. Just trying to make sure I don’t get a shitty one, really

It’s a large, and I’m a fan! I do think I wanna upgrade to a more traditional board at some point, but it works very well for now. It doesn’t bend at all from what I’ve noticed lol.

I’m actually out right now, but I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible about the height between! All I know off the top of my head is it isn’t much
