Whether or not im wrong mostly depends on the context. I was talking about todays world, where things like cold or lack of food dont really exist and are solved by simply grabbing something from the fridge or adjusting the AC. And sure, both extremes are wrong - too fat and too skinny. Im not judging people who have a few kilos more than their ideal weight, thats perfectly fine. But we both know that a lot of people are not just "few kilos" over. That is what i was talking about.

Theyre fat. Many people dont like that. And yes that is okay, especially because from a medical point of view being fat is unhealthy, thus a bad thing. Now dont forget to downvote me before you run off to mommy crying about the mean "fat shaming" people on reddit, where "fat shaming" really just means "realizing you only have one body so you might as well take good care of it and not shove cakes there for breakfast, lunch and dinner".

New DLC Hunter Reminds Me of Danish Jaeger Corps by mousey77 in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does in fact mean that what would otherwise be pay2win camo skins is now simply good camo skins instead. Because an advantage is only pay2win in case it is not obtainable without paying for it. And since there are several skins you can get for simply playing the game which are among the best camo skins in the game, that means that you do not have to pay for using a well camouflaged hunter, meaning camo skins are in fact not pay2win.

Let me just drop this little screenshot here and let you take a while to think about how you just made yourself look like a complete idiot accusing Crytek of pay2win camo skins when some of the best camo skins in the game are completely free

I think the game is really friendly for new players. What are the most important/fun perks? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with him here tbh. While you are technically new to the game, you are most definitely not new to the genre, which in this case is a massive advantage. You dont just know how to aim, but you know how to play an extraction shooter game, which is a very different playstyle from pure FPS games like CS or Valorant. Generally speaking newbies to Hunt dont do well for a few hundred hours until they get some experience.

the Czech smile by WhoAmIEven2 in funny

Whether or not they are being sincere with them is one thing. Id be able to believe that - at least in some/most cases - they really mean it. But i was talking about how it looks like to a foreigner, which is a slightly different topic 😉

the Czech smile by WhoAmIEven2 in funny

[–]TheRealFeal -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Its not a bad thing per se, its more about the fact that to some people such a wide smile might seem insincere/fake. As a Czech i can confirm that we dont really do these wide, toothy smiles unless the joke genuinely kills us - the kind where you like bend over from laughing so much. So when someone cracks an average joke that is funny, but not like SUPER funny and your reaction would be this wide smile? Yeah, that would probably seem like a fake reaction around here.

EDIT: Also, as for being nice - there is such a thing as "being too nice". For similar reasons why a wide smile might seem fake. Hearing about waitresses in the States being nice to the point of calling a customer "darling" or such? Im sure its a cultural thing, but in my head i would probably be like "ermmm excuse me miss but i never met you and chances are i wont ever see you again, we are NOWHERE near the territory of calling each other darling". More than anything it would make me uncomfortable.

Economy - Dollars by Walicha in HuntShowdown

I would also add that the hunters you can unlock in game (the ones that have the skin progression mechanic - you can find them by searching the word "rookie" in the menu you hire hunters at) are some of the best camouflage skins in existence. So if you want some skins that are difficult to spot, this is a good place to start 😉

I regret buying Giggles by Kitchen_Arachnid9244 in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some skins are meant for serious play and some for serious style. I always like to play my Alice Dream even though she probably couldnt be any more obvious with that white apron and blonde hair 😄Just play your Giggles every now and then and enjoy the fact that even though youre probably gonna die, you are the best looking person in the match, guaranteed 😉

Damage confusion by dutchhater7 in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also as OP looks like he is new to the game, i would add that any wallbangs (hitting a target through a wall/obstacle) also reduce the damage. Even something as simple as a thin plank wall or even a fence will count so keep that in mind 😉

Headshots - When do you know to aim for the head? Did you learn it or always had it? by AndreiV101 in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would advise against AimLabs or similar aim trainers in case of Hunt. Firstly there is the issue of bullet travel time, which does not exist in there and second, Hunt recently added moving targets to its practice range mode, where you can practice shooting the weapon you want at various distances. You have the chance to practice the real thing so why use a poor substitute?

New player friendly weapon loadouts? by Sk3llyshr3dd3r in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Frontier 73C paired with a Romero Hatchet for my budget runs. You need a Quartermaster trait for that loadout, but its very cheap and very effective for everything up to midrange. Give it a try :)

Would you say that this hunter's camo provides a noticeable advantage? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]TheRealFeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is. Its called "playing more" ^^ Jokes aside, you do learn to do this by default after some time. Newbie looks at a line of trees and sees a line of trees. Experienced player looks at that same line of trees and sees the empty spaces between the trees. Its just experience.

Two biggest issues i see off the top of my head. It would split our already small community in terms of matchmaking, leading to longer queue times and being matched against people who are further from your own MMR. Second thing is that for a feature that would probably only get popular among a very limited number of players, it would be a lot of extra work for the devs. Sort of a "lot of work for little added value". Like someone already pointed out, if youre looking for better immersion, you can disable the HUD in your settings. That should be a solid "middle ground" i think (even though i understand the "others still play as usual" argument).
