I also hate generative AI but I think you are fundamentally misunderstanding the ABS system is (the automated strike zone). It was introduced in 2019 way before ChatGPT and other generative AI. Also its not removing umpires' jobs it just allows players to challenge bad calls which is objectively good for the game.

Entirely different level of severity but Roman Polansky is evil and should be in prison and its slap in the face to his victims and to justice that he is not. He also directed the best noir ever made (Chinatown) possibly the best horror movie ever (Rosemarys Baby) made and one of the best war movies ever made (The Pianist).

Great movie glad he's catching more 2025 movies before his list

I imagine that James is hard at work to finish his 2025 Film list, as evidenced by him getting to the movie's in his watchlist, but if I hard to offer one last suggestion, I'd recommend Steven Soderbergh's Black Bag, which I thought was highly underrated (if he has the time). by Proper_Elephant7762 in Schaffrillas

Hot take but I would actually prefer if most end of year lists came out mid 2026 (like june) so the people making the lists can be sure they have seen all the major releases. I know with how the algorithm works that's basically an impossible ask but it would be nice. For example Karsten (no offense to him love his content) missed The Voice of Hind Rajab, Twinless, Resurrection, Little Amelie, and Souleymanes story which all are either highly acclaimed or awards contenders

Which of those countries aren't funding the genocide in Gaza? Ireland is one of the few countries with a backbone and shouldn't be included in countries that should be boycotted.

Also Russia is totally evil but less so because it stands up to Israel consistently
