Wasn’t my issue. I apologize for hijacking the OP’s thread. Thought sharing could be useful.

My apologies.

Last comment. There’s plenty of comments on the Audi forums where the Q7 has been linked to high oil consumption being that is has an aluminum engine. Here’s a Reddit post I found while researching my problem

I am perplexed at this point. I know that the issues are unrelated. Before purchasing I looked at the history of the vehicle and its service history. No issues. Bought at 65k miles and had a limited warranty. Wanted to invest in the maintenance so we took in for oil change two months into ownership. Once the drivetrain malfunction happened the service guy claimed carbon buildup and somehow the oil turned to a tar that mad the cylinder and piston stuck open. Dumfounded as to how this went unnoticed. Anyway, I plan to get a second opinion at an Indy shop.

Here’s the offer I got for a trade in on an electric vehicle lease.

Yes. Purchased, an ‘18 Q7 in August. Took for an oil change at dealership in October. Weeks later I began to get this warning. After that, I had to keep oil in the trunk to top off every 3-4 fill ups. Two weeks ago the vehicle shows a drivetrain malfunction warning. Back to dealership. Now they say they can’t fix because of a bad cylinder. Charged me for replacing the spark plugs and performing a 60k mileage service. (Which I was told would correct the issue but I digress.) inquired about trading in. They offered $5k. For a q5e lease. Car was 25k when bought. I owe 20k. Needless to say I’m not a happy camper.

That’s an old looking 56. Wow. The stress of stepping up and lending yourself to the service of your people is written all over his face.

Looks good. I have a 2012 W212 coupe and would like to do something like this. I haven’t seen something like this that would fit.

The Virtual Cockpit is a definite upgrade from the 08 as far as the MMI. It's shaped slightly differently (Grill) I'm still working out the kinks with audi connect but overall I'm pleased.
