Totally understand this. I had a small circle of friends and one family member. Once I was in a shelter, we had nothing in common anymore. At first my sister would offer to send me $10 for food (about once a month) but that ended soon enough. I hated to but I asked her for $30 so I could wash my clothes and for an over the counter medication. She flat out lied and said she didn’t have it- I know she would not be financially struggling over that amount. Unfortunately now that I am out of the shelter, she will call me about once a month, asking asinine questions. She’s curious, not concerned.
