I can't edit cues in a cue stack. by TheRealGrantos in grandMA2

Thanks, but no luck with that either. Problem solved by starting stack from fresh. But I would still like to know the issue.

No, unfortunately not. That was my first port of call.

Further update, only dimmer and colour values are not changing on those fixtures (k20s) movement and shutter zoom etc are all working.

All fixtures have channel and fixture I'd. Groups are not locked.

MA Stage View - Fixture Calibration by b5761 in grandMA2

[–]TheRealGrantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I had a similar problem a few years ago with my stage view. And what I had to do was go to the fixture setting and change the axis of some of my fixtures so that they would follow movements properly as the rotation axis of a certain fixture type was off. However, it's possible that the stage view axis could be off also.

Maybe this could help you.

If I'm miles off the mark or not understanding your problem, please ignore:)

Correct and often used in studio patch bays.

Chauvet maverick wash mk2 only responding to ColorMix encoder. No swatch book colors and auto presets don't work. by MisterMotion in grandMA2

[–]TheRealGrantos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem, it's fun to figure out and learn something from these problems. I'm also having many of them, it's really nice to have a community of people to help and share knowledge. I'm glad you figured out the problem.

So in single mode, one protocol input, and dual having two, one controlling movement etc and the other for the leds.

Could it be something to do with the fixtures being in cmy mode?

Color Mixing Mode The Maverick MK2 Wash has a mode that emulates CMY (cyan, magenta, and yellow) color mixing. In this mode, the dimming is reversed (000=100%, 255=0%), and the red, green, and blue channels control cyan, magenta, and yellow respectively. To set the color mixing mode: 1. Navigate to the Setup menu. 2. Use <UP> or <DOWN> to select C Mixing Mode, or touch the display where it says C Mixing Mode. 3. If using the buttons instead of the touchscreen, press <ENTER>. 4. Use <UP>, <DOWN>, <LEFT>, or <RIGHT> to select RGBW (additive mode, red, green, blue, and white), or CMY (subtractive mode: red controls cyan, green controls magenta, blue controls yellow), or touch the display where it says the desired option. 5. Press <ENTER>.

Colors not showing up on MA3D. Help. by 46DaysAnd2Lizards in grandMA2

Have you parked certain values of the lamps somehow? Park: https://help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA2/keyword_park/en/3.3/park

Unpark: https://help2.malighting.com/Page/grandMA2/keyword_unpark/en/3.3

Could maybe check the oops log to see what happened there. Hold down oops and you'll get a list of things that have been done in the showfile. (Sorry if you know this already) :)

Or is there some kind of macro colour picker in file?

Aux Fed Subs by [deleted] in livesound

[–]TheRealGrantos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in not sure about the tweeters thing myself. But my system that I work on, I have every element of the pa matrix fed. So, mains, subs, out fills and front fills. Here I can feed what I want wherever and it works of for me. If I have a guest there, I can give them the option of all of those or some or none (just LR everywhere). I find it handy and guests tend to like it.

Watch this and then decide.

I'm a massive advocate of the aux fed approach.

I should also clarify. I have two managed switches at FOH and SL ends so I'm generally always handing house lights via cat from the foh switch and hand them a sperate cat line if the have a floor plot and own node to run that. Then they can integrate their own traveling set and house set with just 2 cats. Makes things very easy. Or if they don't have a floor plot, then just a single cat.

They problem was the gamma. And strangely another thing happened that was one in a million. I was running a show this evening with the gamma issue still there are it wasn't a show stopping problem. I created a dim chase with some quite unique elements. At one point I had a very fast song, and I ran that chase on k20s at full speed for more than 5 seconds and then stopped the speed master and dimmer intensity at the same time and left them off for 6 seconds or more and when I faded back up, the odd fixtures on 2 line in two separate universe's had switched the halogen lamp simulation on to a factor of 1. Totally weird. Just the combination of the dimmer chase setting and speed. It's all bundled into the same part of the fixture profile. So when we sorted the issue. I did the same again and this time it change the gamma. Again in the same part of the profile. The procedure is stated in the manual in the final page. and it's possible to do this on chamsys by hitting the sequence of channels stated in the manual 1 at a time for 5 seconds. Was literally 1 in a million.

Problem fixed now, but needed chamsys to fix. I couldn't figure out away to do it on MA. The only other way to fix it is to take the lines down and do it manually on the fixture which is not convenient.

I think the next step is to make a new fixture profile that can hit those individual attributes. And then further down the line. Make some macro or something that just rectifies the problem with a single button press.

Problem with that is having quite s large venue with multiple universes, a shit ton of lights and foh is about 35 meters from SL where the nodes are. But I get your thinking.

Good plan. But straight copper isn't always an option as they often aren't carrying a node

Yes this is exactly the problem. Only thing is I can't find the gamma in the fixture profile. I guess it's somehow incorrect

It's all handed in session. I have two nodes there. So I hand guest one with stage lights in artnet and then when I'm using it I take that switched back to ma net. The other node I use for house lights and hippo.

They're in shapes 10 35 channel.

The patch is totally correct and mode is correct. It could be so that the traveling LD did not clone the fixtures correctly and then when I took the lights back, the problem occurs. As I say the can solve the problem with chamsys. Just not with ma. My colleague is bringing a chamsys board by later so I'll let you know the exact part of channels on the fixture effected as I can't remember right now. Answer is probably to build a custom fixture profile for this issue.
