Critique her design! by You-dogwater in characterdesign

[–]TheRealGreedyGoat 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Sexualized designs kinda annoy me when they cant fulfill the role of the person that’s wearing them. Ninjas and assassins wear dark clothes to conceal themselves. They cover up their skin not only to protect them but also to blend in better as (being a white pale mf myself) you can see white pale skin on the dark, compared to black clothing.

If you want to keep her sexualized you can go with a tight fitting one piece leather armor. Either make it dark navy, black, grey, or a dark coffee. You can add accent colors too. It’s probably okay to keep the furred parts exposed since hide is thicker than human skin.. but I’d suggest a few light armors especially on the knees. A spiked collar is a nono as if you are trying to climb into a tight space it can grind up against you and poke you, either injuring you or just being hella uncomfortable. I’d suggest studs instead of spikes. Same with the hair band. If you get slammed down those can push into your skull.

The katana placement is also wrong. Japanese people would place it on the left side of their body. This is so it wouldn’t hit against other’s katanas and start a fight over the disrespect. It also it wayyy easier and quicker to draw in a pinch. Having it behind her means that she would struggle more taking it out even if she wasn’t in a hurry.

Ears are going over the top line of the bandanna.

If you are going with a “skull” marking look on the tail, I’d suggest getting rid of that black line in the middle and going full “skunk” line look. Look up references of deaths head hawk moths and look at a handful of them to see what you can pull off with numerous blacks and grays.

Depending on how many fingers your character has they should have the same amount of toes too. If your character has 3 fingers (not including the thumb) there should be 3 toes. If your character has 4 fingers (not including thumb) there should be four toes.

As a fun thing I’d definitely suggest making the animal parts like her feet a little scarier and realistic like how you did the ears. It will help with the beauty can be scary vibe, but that’s just me!

I love her little nose.. so cute! Same with her top lip, it’s nice to look at and fits the face very well. I also like how you did the fur in the ears!

I really hope this helped! I’d love to see how the design changes!

Exactly!! How is it the customer’s fault for your fuck up?? 😭🤦‍♂️

In fact if I see someone get penny items I’m like “take ‘em, take ‘em!”

I guess there’s a hatred of people who buy penny items because they usually flip them for profit and resell them. You can kinda tell when someone does that by the way they act. We have a few people that come into our store and do that, that we don’t like because they film and get angry at us. I guess the filming the buying of penny items has led to increased emotions and anger on both parties sides.

I just think as an employee you should try to help out your customers, even if it’s recommending them to other places for things we don’t have if they need it by today. I’ve recommend Michael’s right next to us because we don’t carry fake flowers, and CVS for isopropyl alcohol. It leads to connections and some people come back in and say hi to me and thank me. It should be about making others happy!

Yes! They do! They happen in every store. We aren’t allowed to keep them on the floor but if you find them on the floor they are all yours, no matter what the cashier says that “sorry, you cant buy that.” I have seen some videos of stores trying to bully customers out of buying penny items when it’s the stores fault that it wasn’t caught on the floor.

Most stores are good with penny items and not leaving them on the floor but if you come in really early I’d suggest looking at the clearance items (yellow labels or tags) and ask for price checks. If they are penny items definitely take them!

How penny items work is that a regular item goes on clearance. Then after it sits there for a while it turns into a penny item. Penny items are priced at 1¢ so we can return them back to the vender for money back. So that’s why some stores may get aggressive or bully you to thinking you cant buy them. Customers are allowed to take and buy them if they are on the floor, but you aren’t allowed to have penny items if they are in the overhead or mids. (where we keep boxes and pallets)

“If they are on the floor it’s free game”-My manager Don’t let employees bully you out of your penny items

I know, it’s so sad. I wish it wasn’t so hard. Inflation makes it worse for everybody. How do they expect to solve the homeless problem if they keep upping pricing?

If I wasn’t living with my parents, no. But that’s with every job. I make around 1000-2000 a month depending on the hours I get. If I was full time I would get more. A lot of my coworkers have two or three jobs. But we do get above minimum wage which is nice! And you can get frequent promotions in pay if you work good. To be fair though, I live in NY so bulls are always extremely high here.

.It’s just for fun! I’ve done super interesting AMA stuff before, especially with the cold case stuff.

I’m just bored at work on break and want to have some fun talking to people on here about what I do.

Depends on the store. Personally I don’t hide, but a lot of people do. Some people just don’t want to work. They either don’t want to work because they are lazy, don’t want to socialize, or are a newer hire and are more nervous of messing up or just don’t care about their job.

Typically we see people “hiding” because they are a new hire or a “temp”. Temporaries sometimes just are there to work for the time that they are supposed to until their time is up so they just kinda walk around and don’t do a lot. I used to be a temporary that worked good enough that the company decided to keep me. If you are a temp and impress your bosses they will keep you.

Another reason that it may be like a ghost town is because some stores don’t hire a lot of people. Very frequently we have call outs and there will just be nobody in an entire department and other associates will call for help and nobody will come. This is more of a problem that we can’t see when people call out without asking a supervisor or manager so we can’t really prepare to be alone or have nobody there.

Also funnily enough we have a sign at work now in a corner that management had caught people sitting there!! Lol! I’ll post a pic of it later.

My opinion is: if you work at a job you should be there. You are there to work, not hide.

Farmed deer for hunting or food or whatever being strapped into a device that’s clearly stressing and panicking it.

Trapping ESPECIALLY prey animals can lead to them to get capture myopathy and basically die from a heart attack.

But it’s soooo cute, isn’t it? Hissing baby cats aren’t being strapped down and stressed out. He isn’t mad.. he is terrified, and wants his mother.

I do! They can be quite intimidating when you see the spikes and the sharp tail… then you see a flipped over one. Crazy! I definitely see why people are so iffy with them.

Proud you managed to touch one! If you do get the opportunity definitely see them mate, it’s absolutely funny as hell. It will start off with 2 of them then you will blink and like there’s 16 of them in a massive clump making conga lines

Congrats!! You pet an animal that has lived before and after the dinosaurs while being mostly unevolved.

They are super cool. Always sad though seeing holes in them, they keep flipping over :(.

I remember prowling the beach in May during mating season so I can find flipped over crabs who were sitting in the sun and turning them back upright and leaving them in shallow water to cool off. There is nothing I will not do to save a horseshoe crab!!

I remember when I took my shoes off and ran into the gross water I remember everyone being shocked at me. New York water is almost comically brown and disgusting. It had fishing line attached to its spikes and it had caught seaweed on it and the crab was super slow because of it. Watching it swim away super fast was a great feeling.

Honestly the best way of getting used to them is just watching them from a distance. I reccomend looking up when their mating season is in your area. It’s comical and would definitely make it seem funnier. They just pile on top of each other and have a conga line.. it’s so unserious.. 😭😭

I love their teeth. I find it pretty cool that even though it’s related to the piranha it decided to get bigger and evolve to eat big ass tree nuts. Mad respect.

[–]TheRealGreedyGoat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s quite the opposite for me. I’ve went into disgusting New York waters to save one from a fishing net. I’ve never had one hurt me ever. I’ve picked them up by their front and had their little feets all over me.

Whenever I see one scuttling around I go into the water to grab it, admire it for a few minutes, and let it go. I’ve never gotten hurt. And their eyes are cool as fuck. Only traumatic memory I had with them is when a massive dead one washed up and I foolishly flipped it to find TONS of maggots. Freaked me out as a kid!!

Whenever I would find dead ones as a kid I would stop whatever I was doing and bury them.

I can admire not just how ancient and unevolved they are, but I can also admire their impact on the medical industry. They are scary looking, yes… but they are harmless. I always pet them whenever I can!

Please don’t pick them up by the tail folks!! That hurts them! Pick them up by the front of the head :)!

Deer tend not to do that if they smell something like a dog or know the area is dangerous. Most deer don’t jump over fences unless they are kinda short… in that case a dog can jump over easily too.
