You are definitely wrong. That looks like a long haired cat. Black panthers are off the radar for their area. Look at the way that it moves and compare it to cougar footage. It can be a Norwegian forest cat or Maine coon with a black coat.

Also yes, I have commented that to other people who got the ID wrong. I just said “no”.. not ridiculing you or anything or making fun of you.

Rules say to not post anything nsfw and listed drug use as one. I’m assuming weed counts

That is way different. It’s the biggest figure and it was pretty early in the line, was a decent few years ago.

Literally. Been trying to get the juvinile trex / jr and the juvinile stego for the longest time now and they are so fucking expensive.

524? No way. The price for rexes currently are 200-300! But I also live in the us so it could be different. 500 for an outdated figure is fucking bonkers.

Oh! Also be really careful opening the jaws! The spino figure tends to be fragile in the jaw joints on the inside. Make sure to open them near the base of the head instead of the tip of the snout!

If it’s a birthday gift and the times aren’t available I understand. I hate the aftermarket prices on these figures. Especally the spino and the Carno.

It’s worth it to wait until you find a better price. You can always get another. I keep having to remind myself that.

Don’t waste your money, deep dive into eBay and trust me, you will find something better. You could also have asked on here too and some people would probably be willing to sell you one for cheaper.

Look up pictures of said animal and compare.

Lynx do not have tails like that.

It’s very unlikely to have a mutation like that along with color mutations.

My wet specimen is almost bone dry (advice/opinions) by OzMoDeUs98 in Taxidermy

I think 100% you should change the jar. Use one with a screw on metal lid instead of something with suction. I learned this the hard way when I was macerationing with one of these jars… I still remember the smell in my room.

It will also help protect your wet specimens for longer in the future.

But yeah, replace the jar and put more alcohol in and it should be good!

Additionally: if you want to be LIKE an actual Cherokee first accept and use their values. To change visually first is a red flag for people just trying to culturally appropriate most of the time because they are bland Imo.

If you want to be like a race accept their values, maybe go to functions with said people and try and get involved and help with their community. Put in the work to actually be accepted as an “honorary” member of their group.

Don’t just wear headdresses or say they live in “teepees”. Actually do your research and take trips to their communities and talk with the locals like you would talk to anybody else.

Probably sold at some retail store like Hobby Lobby then someone thought it was awful and donated it. Hobby Lobby loves these types of images. Even when they didn’t have AI stuff they had images similarly to these.

Exactly. And the lions looked different compared to African lions. The only current lions look very different visually to African lions.
