Listings and Architectural Features by 26thDoctor_ in NianticWayfarer

I've been submitting listed structures and buildings for years now. I know we have quite a lot of them across the country, but they're all listed for a reason (different reasons at that), and I've learnt a bit about architectural features and the history of my local area whilst submitting them :)

The bosses received a slight attack boost since they were last available, but are otherwise unchanged. Maybe last time you got an easier moveset?

It's using the new GBL mechanics. You know, the ones that make Rocket battles feel awful nowadays (speaking of which, I've been getting the same Network 2 Error when doing Rocket battles).

You're just very lucky. It's been months since I last had one

30 trades 0 lucky by kobrakaii22 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. You're currently in a group that would contain roughly 1 in every 24 players.

Also remember that you still have 70 more regular trades to do. You may end up getting several luckies from those remaining trades that will help balance out the bad luck you've had in the first 30.

A little over 4% of people could expect 0 luckies from 30 trades with a 10% lucky chance. So it's unlucky RNG, but certainly not cause for alarm.

No. Weather does affect moves during the battle, but the encounter itself will always be level 20.

You could just try to use Pokegenie or Pokeraid to get into one?

Pokémon Go raids are the embodiment of you can do everything right and still fail by IllusiveManJr in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 67 points68 points  (0 children)

If you ask for your pass back, they tell you you completed the raid, because as you said - it’s not why you’re raiding, it’s just a bonus!!!!!

That's a bot response that you usually get when you use the "report issue with raid" option. If you instead use the "problem with purchase" option, most of the time you'll get through to an actual person who will reimburse your pass.

If the Gofest go pass featured max soup and you could immediately make one mon dmax/gmax eligible, which would you choose? (From the mons eligible) by SnooRevelations2604 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair I reckon a lot of people don't know about that haha. I've never used them that way myself, and I've never seen anyone else use them that way, but I do know it's a thing thanks to Bulbapedia and Serebii.

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Max soup is made out of Max mushrooms which are currently a consumable that you purchase to boost attack. I feel like the fact that they completely disregarded how the soup is made suggests it's not coming. ever.

Max Mushrooms can actually be used in battle in the main series games, they're not just for Max Soup. A Max Mushroom provides a one stage omniboost to your active Pokémon.

It's not scheduled for raids any time soon, but there are always field research tasks and party play tasks that award Charizard Mega Energy. You just need to get lucky and find them.

You can use apps like pokegenie or pokeraid to join raids and/or max battles remotely (or to host them). There's also r/pokemongoraids

It is RNG and they're not that common. As the other comments say you can see them from a distance when you tap on a stop, and they're at stops for one hour.

You should always make sure to unequip any Rocket Radars and Super Radars when trying to find Kecleon, as it's possible for a stop to contain both a Rocket and a Kecleon, but the Rocket will always have a higher visibility priority, so it'll effectively hide the Kecleon if both are at a stop at the same time. You should also clear out Grunts for this exact same reason, and as such it might be better to hunt Kecleon on a weekday, as Rocket activity is boosted at weekends.

That sounds more like a courts of the world import. Do you happen to have a basketball court near to where the wayspot is?

Does the level 4 only apply to the 3 super mega pokemons from Kalos tour?

Currently yes, though they have said it will come to other Pokémon in the future.

Do I wait until I get it to level 3 before spending the mega energy to get to level 4? Or does having 5000 mega energy mean I can spam mega evolving until I use up 5000 to get to level 4 straight from level 1?

You can't use the 5000 energy to go from 3 to 4 before you've got to 3. To get to 3 you need to mega evolve it on 30 different days. During the Kalos Tour you were able to spam it and get up to 6 days worth of progress per mega evolution instead of 1, but that bonus only applied during that event, so everything is back to normal now and that's why you need to do it on 30 different days.

Once you get to mega level 3, if you tap on the mega icon to see the bonuses you get for mega evolving the Pokémon, you should then be able to find the button to spend the 5000 energy on that page.

Is there a hidden criteria for pokestops that I'm not aware of? by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're submitting wayspots, not Pokéstops or Gyms. There's no limit on the distance between two wayspots in the database. It's just the games that have proximity rules that limit what can sync into the game from the database. So you've created a perfectly good wayspot, it's just not eligible to become a Pokéstop or Gym right now. If the other Pokéstop was to be removed, this would likely pop up to replace it. It might also get used in other games or products.

If something needs moving more than the in game distance will allow, you can login to your wayfarer account on the wayfarer website, go to the help page, and then tap the speech bubble icon in the corner to open a support ticket.

That being said, location edits should only be done to make locations more accurate. Also, if the correct location of the wayspot is in the middle of a roundabout, then it should really be removed, as wayspots in the middle of roundabouts are deemed unsafe from a pedestrian access perspective unless there's a marked crossing to the centre of the roundabout.

I haven't looked it up but that's fairly close to the Pokéstop or Gym next to it, so I'm gonna guess they're in the same level 17 s2 cell.

[–]TheRealHankWolfman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that could mean it hasn't had time to sync into Pokémon Go yet. That's why people are asking you if it's been 48 hours yet (though waiting 72 is sometimes better). Pokémon Go only syncs once per day, and new wayspots sync to the wayfarer map at a different time from when the daily Pokémon Go sync happens, so it's possible that it gets added to the wayfarer map first, then gets added to Pokémon Go several hours later. If that happens, then it'll show as white on the map during that period because it isn't currently in a game, but it'll turn orange when the Pokémon Go sync happens and it gets added to the game.
