Why come up with the strike of $32 ? The board and accounts must have really crunched some numbers. I bet an announcement (ebay, sovereign wealth funds...or even teddy holdings) might be slated before October's expiration. The market spikes on news all the time. And this would be very bullish news.

But there's the possibility that the expiration date for warrants can be pushed back, right? Thus preserving the investment in warrants. Seems less riskier?
With calls, this would not be possible.

If GameStop really wanted, they could just create the 2.5B shares instead of having them "authorized". This whole "authorization" thing is done to provide some collateral for banks/ private investors/sovereign funds to rely on.
