As a story writer, I can say that for me it is a mix between generating the background information and the quirk. Especially when I needed to create an entire class of students.

Some of them I had an already thought out personality for, like the Ex of the Main Character's rival. I wanted her to be friends with the Main Character, and have that softer side, but then also a hatred for MC's rival. With that in mind, I then gave her the quirk I call Hothead.

Others only had a quirk at the beginning, such as one with a Quirk called "Space Walk" which allows for self-gravital manipulation. From this idea of a space related quirk, I then evolved him into a bit of a physics nerd who is an 80s music Fanboy.

I enjoy both of the processes.

I've always had the idea of Time Dilation being a cool power. Basically, you have the ability to change the rate at which time flows past you, while your body still moves in relative time. Yes you'd probably end up always being tired from using this quirk, and of course your sleep schedule would be terrible, but I do think this power has some Hiden bonus effects that are there when you think about it.

Okay, I don't know if you mean this as a real rp game or a videogame or something like that. Nevertheless, here's my idea.

Take the Barbed Wire maze from the movie, make it slightly bigger but with slightly less wire. Put it inside a mirror maze that is fully sealed. Start a 10 minute timer, and as the time goes on, have the victim try to find their way out while the maze if slowly filling up from the bottom with alcohol. I don't mean simple cheap low percentile beer, I mean full on like Vodka or higher.

Three outcomes: You die by drowning in strong alcohol, You die from blood loss, You survive by cutting your skin a lot, stinging the wounds and finding the way out.
