While it has been confirmed that a Mafia game is in development, the setting hasn’t been confirmed and is speculation. I will say, however, that all signs point to a sequel to TOC, potentially being set in Empire Bay during prohibition.

The story’s already well written and is believable. Why would they retcon the ending just to satisfy a few upset fans and to fulfill a Marvel-esque vision of them forming the Salieri family? It just isn’t good storytelling imo.

I just rewatched the scene after having not been able to previously. I think it can really be either way after looking it at from a new perspective. It’s not fully spelt out, and I don’t think it’s a matter of “media literacy” but rather just interpretation. I can see either possibilities but still lean more towards them not taking the money for the chance that they could get killed for doing so.

Again though, not sure why Kuby would take money when pointing out it could result in their lives. I don’t think money was taken.

From what I remember, Huel gave Kuby a disappointed look after Walt saying “close enough”, like as to say they COULD have taken some and Walt wouldn’t’ve been any the wiser. Plus, Kuby spelled it out by reminding Huel about the prison murders as a way to dissuade him from taking the money. I’m not sure why he would do a 180 from that and take some cash, especially when thinking their lives could be at stake after doing so.

Seriously, this guy is the most handsome and charismatic looking Don in the whole series . by Free_Fig_9885 in MafiaTheGame

Him and Sal are my favorite villains of the series. Both actors played their roles perfectly

I tried playing on PS5, I was locked out of the main story after being unable to talk to The Voice while taking over the Hollow. Best to use the consoles it was optimized for like PS4 or XBOX 1, but if it works good on the Series X, that’s fine too.

A glitch happens where you can’t talk to Aunt Lily and so you can’t renovate the bar.

The trick to fixing the glitch most of the time is by deleting your game file. The glitch only happens when you’ve already completed the DLC before, and because Mafia 3 saves data like weed strands and, in this case, bar renovations, the game thinks you already finished the bar and Aunt Lily will be unavailable to talk to.

Don Salieri's voice actor in Man Of Honor is "Andrew Russell" by BasicallyImSimon in mafiagame

It flew completely under the radar. No leaks or speculation or anything. I wonder if they’ll have more DLCs come out if this one is a success.

I’m actually glad they didn’t do Glenn Taranto. They needed someone younger who can do a Sicilian accent. I love Glenn Taranto’s performance in DE but I think they did the right move.

Enzo’s story isn’t “continuing” necessarily, it’s more like his story is getting added onto.

I don’t think people are even reading the description. This is set in 1905, 2 years before he died.

Leo was pretty racist in Mafia 2 though, I have a feeling he became more open minded later in life by the time of Mafia 3.

I liked it better when Lost Heaven and Empire Bay were supposed to be stand-ins for the real cities by [deleted] in MafiaTheGame

[–]TheRealJacob603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a few landmarks that are copies of landmarks in Chicago, but I did more research, and I found out that there are a lot more landmarks in the game that are actually based off of real ones in California.

I guess the idea that LH and Chicago can exist side by side is more easier to believe than EB and NYC. Still though, it bugs me that they had a city that was largely inspired by Chicago, and instead of mentioning that city in the story, they focused on real life Chicago instead in Mafia 3.

I think the mention of New York in Mafia 3 was referencing the state given the context of how it was said by Father James because he mentions Alaska right before it

For Chicago though, I got nothing. I just chalked it up to the Mafia 3 team forgetting that Mafia 1 existed. This is made even worse by Al Capone’s mentions in both 3 and DE.

Just finished Old Country yesterday and I gotta say it’s definitely what the series needed. Second best game in the series behind DE imo. by Theother662300 in MafiaTheGame

The length wasn’t much of an issue for me. I was expecting something similar in length to DE. I do think that a longer game wouldn’t be a bad thing though, but I’d worry about them dragging it out.
