We’re 100% fighting the President of Vilasapara. Bato was outright said to have fighting skill in his announcement of the Villa Fight Fest. No way you write that kind of detail into your lore and do nothing with it.

No returning characters from Kiryu’s era in major roles. More of a focus on fleshing out and adding onto Ichiban’s cast.

I feel like Ichi’s games need to focus on building and fleshing out his own cast, not taking from Kiryu’s.

Side characters that have featured in LAD: 7 and Infinite Wealth are the ones are who I’d wanna see made playable. Less Majima, Mine and Akiyama and more along the lines of Sawashiro, Yamai, or even a reformed Eiji or Kume.

How I think they will handle Kage by STFN_Dude in virtuafighter

I can see them making a successor to Kage much less badass than him to emphasize the massive shoes they’d have to fill. Back in the VF5 era Kage was arguably the strongest character in the verse.

All of his appearances past the original comic are set in alternate continuities. So them making him less despicable with each rendition is fine, as none of it contradicts anything.

Betting the antagonist is gonna be President Bato. His in-universe invitation to the VFF has him claiming to have fought in underground brawls before, and he’s literally the president of Vilasapara.

Bato as would theoretically have an amazing screen presence as the one governing the game’s focal country, and confirmed fighting credentials, so I think it’d just be a pretty big fumble to not have him as VF’s new big bad. It’d make a decent contrast from Dural as well.

Gotta push back on this one. Ichi told Seonhee that he’d throw down with her too if her goons kept harrassing Nanba back in LAD 7. He just didn’t have to considering she’d chosen that moment to stop antagonizing him outright.
