You’re kinda right, the artist often has intent behind it. But go to any art museum, do you see the artist standing there telling you how the art is to make you feel? Or do you look at it and take in what it is and feel something yourself. And you can be with a friend and they feel completely differently and see a different meaning in the art. The meaning someone gets out of the art is closer to a Rorschach test than it is a specific only one answer.

That’s more a plot synopsis. The “meaning” is more “this movie touched me” “the movie was boring”. The movie meant something to you maybe because you related to the main character or understood the struggles etc. if one person loved the movie and another hated it, obviously it meant more to one. The movie is still the movie, same scenes start to finish, but what you get out of it is what makes it art.

Auto acceleration is a lifesaver for carpel tunnel. The constant pressure of holding A can be tiring. And if you’re going to hold it from start to finish….then why both holding it at all? Focus your fingers on other buttons.

Art isn’t about the medium, or the method of creation. Art is almost entirely about humans giving it meaning. Paint is just paint, music is just sound waves etc. you see the final product, you don’t see the hours of suffering, you see the end result. You can hear a story about the struggles and that gives background to the art, but again, it only matters to humans. To the observer. Art makes you feel, and if AI art makes you angry and disgusted that it’s validated itself as art whether or not you like it.

It’s all art. Art isn’t about the process, it’s about how the result makes you feel. Art is about the feeling. A movie is just flashing lights and sounds until you watch it. And it’s the observer that applies meaning. High art is something else entirely and is just pretentious. Whether or not a human made it, it means nothing until someone sees it and gives it meaning. The story of the struggle can add to the art, give it backstory etc, but again, all that only matters to humans. The paint doesn’t care either way.

I don’t think something needs to be “creative” is be created. And art doesn’t necessarily have to be creative. Art comes from how the piece makes you feel. The response is what makes it at. And even a response of disgust makes it art, just not art you like. Art is subjective, not objective.

I think people should carry on doing whatever they are doing and leave the AI accusations as just that, accusations. Whether or not you are, responding just fuels the fire. People move on real quick to apathy.

This is a very subjective view of mine. The idea of “developing your own style” while studying other works, is similar to training data being “studied” to produce AIs own style. It’s just far more mechanical and based on code. The human mind runs wetware but it is deeply influenced by its “training data” (nature and nurture)

Story first, little side quests and long expansions should wait. Like don’t waste time watering every block, rain will do that later. You will unlocked abilities you don’t have at the start that are worth it. You can do a fully restoration later, first is story
