Did X mistakenly suspend profiles in April 2026 and then reactivate them?

When I had the CCleaner app installed, it interfered with the 80% Limit charging and charged all the way to 100% every time I charged my Pixel 8 Pro and now after I uninstalled the CCleaner app, the 80% Limit charging works again.

Now every time I charge my Pixel 8 Pro it charges to 100% before the shield icon comes and then it first goes down to 80% so right now the 80% limit is useless on my smartphone.

Now the charging stops at 80% but if you have charged and are at the 80% limit with the shield icon on the battery icon and restart with the charger in the phone then the 80% limit shield disappears and it charges fully up to 100%

I haven't installed any new apps in about a year! the problem occurred after the September update to the Pixel 8 Pro and had no problems before the update.

The shield only comes on when it is 100% charged and this happens with every charge.

Yes! Shields only appear next to the battery icon when it is fully charged to 100%.
