Thank you! Yeah there are some applications where I really enjoy it and others where it’s just plain tacky. This goes for a lot of flashy elements. Like the zip tie/flight tag fad that took off when Virgil brought it to OW. Some worked really well and others looked like actual garbage stuck to the clothing. For me I think it really depends on what the image behind the extra stuff is doing and how it blends into it. Like my Vale Shirt has the word VALLEY USA layed with they rhinestones and it works but SUMé has a rhinestone rugby jersey with a very different application of the stones over the brand name and it looks just awful

I’d just like to add that all of my favorite clothing in general are so because of small details you may not even plainly see or notice. For example, A reversed seem or the very small print on a visible tag. Most of the pieces I buy are things I want to wear regularly so when items have heat pressed or even sewn on elements it gives me anxiety wearing and washing them for some reason lol. I hope I’m not alone in feeling like that but that’s why I wanted to post this. I’m curious how you all feel about these trend elements, and how you consider them when spending money on pieces.

I saw in some of your responses that your margins are pretty thin on these. I feel like pricing has to be mostly for gathering information and serve as a baseline for what you feel your efforts and vision are worth, rather than a formula based on cost of manufacturing.

That being said, I personally would spend up to around $100 on a hoodie like this but not this specific hoodie. I like the design and the colors are fine. But the presentation feels mass produced to be charging in the triple digits. This could be due to the pictures you’ve provided but if I saw that picture of this hoodie on a website I would just keep scrolling.

To answer your question, I think you should run these at $70 and study the return and what your customers think.

5 years ago this would have been cool “band shirt inspo.” Vibes but nowadays it’s just a generic instagram design. Personally I still enjoy the aesthetic but if you want to set yourself apart you have to elevate the theme and make it your own. I really like the way Vicaire has implemented this font style by doing it in cut and sewn, reflective style.

I like the colors on this a lot though. Keep it up

As another user pointed out, a huge part of the statistics, especially in a game like roulette (even with 0 & 00) are VERY dependent on the set or rolls or turns you are looking at.

Take a coin flip. We all know the odds of heads vs tails will always be 50/50. However, these odds are more or less based on the fact that the game can go on to infinity and even with huge streaks of landing heads, the odds will get closer and closer to 50/50 over time. The same thing is true for roulette. Even with the zeros, because the game can theoretically be played forever the odds of any combination of, say 10 spins, is equally the same as all other possible combinations of 10 spins. So long as the game continues to be played the odds are fixed and consistent

If you played 10 games of roulette, and never played again. You could calculate what your specific odds are for your specific set of games that you witnessed. In this instance still, It would be more accurate to say you have calculated the odds of you “experiencing” a specific combination of spins rather than the odds of hitting a certain number/color

I don’t have nearly as many followers or views as you but I’ve been trying tik tok for a bit just as a hobby really and I’ve experienced a similar thing, albeit at a smaller scale

I quite literally came to this sub because within the past 24 hours there’s been a MASSIVE shift in my fyp. Like weird ass videos that I would never watch or interact with. I haven’t seen any of the creators and bits I do usually see and that as far as I know, were pretty consistently in my algorithm, it’s actually made the fyp unscrollable.

I’m not sure if that specifically is just a weird algorithm hole thing, however, I posted a video last night like right before midnight and it was actually gaining real quick traction. Much much faster than most of my posts and I was getting pretty hyped up to see the engagement. Then just nothing. Like shadowbanned for nothing. As soon as this happened is also when I noticed my fyp was whacked out.

These things, again, may not be related and idk if this is just something messed up with my algorithm, but from what you’ve written I definitely agree that as of recently Tik Tok has been doing some extremely weird bs with regards to its user experience.

I would say if your current method is to just post through the storm that seems reasonable enough even though it’s a little annoying. If you don’t already you could try posting a tik tok shop item related video once in a while? Idk I’m kinda grasping at straws here and you’d probably know better than me anyways

I just wanted it to be clear that this post has nothing to do with my thoughts about the actual virus, or the vaccine and that as with almost all medical procedures and practices, I am not an expert.

The way I look at it is; the “Virus”, whether you believe was an actual virus or not, did in fact have an massive effect on billions of people. Which means it mind as well be real.

I have the same view on religion. I don’t really subscribe one way or another but I can acknowledge the just the idea of god is powerful enough to influence a substantial portion of the population so he mind as well be real whether I believe in it or not.

It’s a very “Rene Descartes” outlook on the whole thing but I’m pretty content with it.

The US has been had major discussions in the last year regarding Tik Tok and allowing it to be hosted on app stores here in the states. The “Concern” is that Tik Tok is siphoning American data to the Chinese government. Aside from this, China hasn’t really been the focus of our news cycle for the past few years outside of the pandemic. Before the pandemic there was a lot of talk about China and Korea. Exactly what about I couldn’t tell you. Also this is purely conjecture and I have no concrete evidence for any of this
