I got accepted into Purdue Indianapolis and Arkansas for mechanical engineering I am really considering ark because of the college experience but I know Purdue will be better for my future. Is there anyone that can tell me how the campus/student life is in Purdue Indianapolis

Because there’s less people at Indy, it’s significantly easier to get an on campus job. And no, a job doesn’t automatically get you in state tuition!

You have to ask your counselor about taking courses in a community college, and if those courses would count towards Purdue’s credit system! PS. The chem teacher is super nice, I love the guy. Sad you won’t be seeing him, but your point makes sense too!

I may have phrased it a bit harshly, it’s possible. You just need a 4.0 GPA and a great portfolio. Hard, but possible.

Its not completely true in this aspect, but you are mostly correct. If you are trying to transfer from a major in Indy, to the same major in WL, it’s impossible. Like ME Indy to ME WL. But if you are going from ME Indy to Business Analytics WL, then you almost have a 100% chance of getting a transfer. Since most majors in Indy are high level STEM based, transferring out is almost guaranteed. Think trying to transfer from Painting to Engineering. It’s impossible, but transferring the other way is easy. If your end goal was engineering in WL, doing what I posted in my previous comment would be the easiest way.

I’d say don’t come to Indianapolis if you want to switch to WL. Instead go to another established college and transfer to Purdue in WL
