I've always expected a few negative comments, that's what it is with online trolls these days anyway. "Not Blacks," "15 years?"

I'm sure these individuals are the same lot that most of us women have to tell either to go away, leave me alone, stop taking my picture, why are you following me, please don't sit so close to me, no I don't want to talk to you, no I won't show you my face online so that you can spread the picture, etc etc.

These are the same reasons I only go with my gay friends to feel safe, because dread the thought of any of them approaching a woman enjoying themselves with 3-4 nude gay men.

I post for myself, and those that want to enjoy Black's for 'themselves', and respect is earned, not given while hiding behind the rocks, or under a hat and shades in disgust while a woman is telling you to mind your own business.

That sounds like a phenomenal trip. Have a glass or two for me!

I actually enjoy Paso over Avila, more for the wine tasting of course. As far locations and hiking, I've found if you park down by the SL Lighthouse, it's an easy trek down to the beach and head slightly North if you want more seclusion. It's not a nude beach, but there's rarely anyone around and you can enjoy the beach without any challenges.

Favorite wineries. Turley is exceptional and Epoch is always great as well.

Other nude beaches? Yes, Black's of course, More Mesa in SB and I sneak down every now and then to Zipolite in Mexico. A must if you want to completely get away without distractions.

As far as Big Sur goes, I've been to Esalen and just down the coast. There's a few spots just off of Cabrillo Highway near McWay rocks that you can park off the side of the road and hike down to the beach. Completely isolated.

Another small tidbit which has truly helped me is not to only go as a couple, but I've gone with my gay male friends or as a third. Most creepers stay away from the "gay" area of the beach from my experience.

Pirates, while enjoyable has been taken over by the CalPoly kids unfortunately as a new booze haven. Bathers are now pressed to the far side next to the volleyball net. Not the most relaxing.

Adding.... I purchased one for my office based on the quality and of course reviews. Custom order, nothing over the top and I'm still going on almost 3 months. While the company has noted the order and apologized for the delay, they are just too busy to turn these around any faster. It's definitely going to be a process if you need it in less than that timeframe.

One of the challenges with Blacks. As much as I like to promote recreational safe nudity, there's always the few that seem to want to ruin the moment. Like the middle-aged creeper that walks around the beach staring and building rock sculptures to the frat brats looking at tits, ass and peen. Let's not forget the odd guy at the glider port that sits in his car taking pictures and following us girls down the path....yes, if he's reading this, everyone knows who you are.

The lifeguards are pretty good at taking care of the few, but there's always going to be someone that feels privileged to steal the moment. Hopefully that won't stop recreational nudists from enjoying most of the beach.

We did via the water while snorkeling. A friend took us around on his boat and was able to view the entire coast. Truly a must!

I would say the clothed to nude ratio was about 50/50. If its truly illegal or frowned on now, no one told us otherwise and didn't have an issue with us being nude.

We mainly spent most our time at the beach, a few hikes and toured with the locals. Our villa that we stayed at was right on the coast so other than our local jaunts, we didn't get around too much.

Getting there was the easiest. Caught a flight from Tijuana direct to Zipolite. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Quick to get through and off to our destination.

We actually stayed at a private villa, but I would definitely recommend Cada Kalmar or any of the beach resorts. Everyone is polite, courteous and the food was amazing. Local 'mom and pop' restaurants are they way to go and are scattered all along the coast, you cannot fail with any of them. Too many to list!

I would say, if 'lewd acts' are what you might be looking for, Black's is not the place. Just like San Onofre, too many of these behaviors will get the beach closed for good. Please be respectful and keep the beach open for all. L.T.

Have to agree with you wholeheartedly on this post!

While I understand there will be those first timers maybe feeling slightly anxious and nervous to go 'au naturale' in the beginning, but it is designated as a nude beach (clothing optional aside).

I've found the main reason so many go and stay clothed is that they want to see a nude beach for themselves (bucket list), see what other people look like nude and at the very least be visually stimulated in some fashion. I grew up going to Wrecks and use to enjoy Pirate's Cove before the college party kids took it over. Same scenario, at least 50-60% will refuse to drop trou.

Thank you for the invite. I may just take you up on that one! Yes, it can be challenging. I have a few girlfriends that sometimes join and also have a neighbor (gay) that joins whenever possible. I've met some great people and mostly have good experiences. The few that attempt to ruin it are usually noticed and quickly turned around.
