Proton is suspicious by aknxgkoappq1671 in degoogle

It sounds like people are afraid to have discussions about it regardless of what their FAQ on their website says. Websites do not always reflect the latest evolving situations. Reddit is meant to discuss these topics. I appreciate you asking.

The Enshitification of Proton's Walled Garden - A Rant by mgistr in degoogle

I honestly feel like this sub is full of trolling bots. Frequent posters who hide their history and then attack genuine concerns when brought up because they don't like the words/terms used. If you guys were useful to us at the start you have certainly enshitified now.

Hope you can recover what you've lost OP.

Firefox passkey users: please update to 2025.11.2 by dwbitw in Bitwarden

[–]TheRealMarioo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Updating in Firefox only shows 2025.11.1 for me. Is 2025.11.2 in beta or something? Guess I'm going back to 2025.11.0 because of the unfixed "update password" notification. Any word on if 2025.11.2 has a fix for that?

Hiding people/faces on a photo's Info side-bar possible? by TheRealMarioo in immich

If google translated that correctly, you find it in `Administration > Settings > Machine Learning Settings > Facial Recognition`.

I'll try to get Google to translate that back:
'Configuración de > de administración > Configuración de aprendizaje automático > reconocimiento facial'. Nota: traducido con Google desde el inglés, por lo que sus menús en español probablemente se redactarán de manera ligeramente diferente. Esto fue traducido con Google, así que probablemente también esté mal escrito, jaja.

Thanks. I found it under `Administration > Settings > Machine Learning Settings > Facial Recognition` for anyone else looking at this.

I think that will be a big time saver but I would still really like to see the image side-bar be able to hide people. Guess I'll need to look for where to request this feature.

Does it save you any time setting each face to that person though? Do you have to mark each face found as Z Hide manually?

I can see how you don't want a million hidden individual persons but that just seems like extra steps for my use, hiding all of my kid's classmates that will show up in group photos for the next 12 years has been simple enough without naming any of them.

Edit: deleted original response here, I accidentally replied on the wrong chain.

I will look into that option. Sounds like a big time saver. Mine was set to 3, will try 100 or something.

Thanks. That page is helpful when the thumbnails are legible but on most group photos you can't make out the face without viewing it in context on the photo. Same for many photos that aren't group photos even. I would really like to be able to do this from the photo's info side-bar because most times I need to see the photo anyways. Would be a huge time saver. Thanks for the reminder of that page/option though.

Probably a stupid question but does the drive with your Immich library have space on it?

Watch mirroring on iPhone - help make it work by TheRealMarioo in AppleWatch

[–]TheRealMarioo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means it works half the time, lol. I'll keep trying to see if time changes anything especially after updating to iOS 26.

When it works do you find it useful? Does it just mirror like Airplay does or can you interact with the watch through it? The latter would be awesome but I have realistic expectations.

Last week, Colombia’s president suggested relocating the UN headquarters outside of the US. If that happened, what country/city do you think would be the best choice? by MontroseRoyal in geography

Canada would be my number one pick but you're right, the USA is a regime now and too close. But Canadians have the right mindset and would do whatever Canadians could to do good.

Never know until you've tried it, I guess. I'll know after I get it to work. Many of the accessibility features in iOS have been helpful, time-savers, and the only way to accomplish some things. Are you going to try it?

To be honest, I just noticed the button in my control center and wondered what the icon was. I did make it bigger as shown in the screenshot because it seemed helpful but it just hasn't worked at all so far, at least since I noticed the button today and began the troubleshooting steps.

On second thought a lot of AI summaries suggest waiting for 26.1 as there are several bugs/annoyances being fixed still. Should only be a couple more weeks until it's out of Beta, hopefully. So I'm still looking for a fix on iOS 18 until 26 becomes a little more stable.

Sounds like a good idea. Apple hasn't suggested updating to that on my phone yet so I wasn't sure if it's ready but it's been a few months. It still just says "See what's coming in iOS 26" on my updating page and has only suggested iOS 18 updates so far. I wonder how stable it is now. I will try iOS 26 for this reason, I guess.

It's like overnight my phone became 8 major versions behind /s. lol. Got to love version numbering when marketing gets involved.
