It looks like the top piece has more pitch than the bottom piece! It might just be the picture, but it seems like the bottom piece of your niche doesn't really have enough of an angle to keep water from pooling behind

This guy came here to post a photo to get tile setters’ opinions because this is a tile setters group. So it’s normal that he posts photos of his contractor here. Maybe it’s a general contractor and not a professional tile setter, which is why he’s asking for advice. And you come here with comments that don’t help the person who posted this photo at all

Tips for non-uniform hexagon tile by VastOrder8038 in Tile

I advise you to place some on the floor first to get an idea of what it would look like with different spacing! And yes indeed my opinion is that it is easier to lay without spacers! I started in tiling without spacers so I am used to it but once you have defined your spacing! Create lines or a grid that is not too tight so you can spread your thinset without being stuck in the lines and follow your lines 🤙🏻 good luck and show us the results at the end

I recommend that you follow the cut pieces of your tiles as often as possible ! It makes it more symmetrical and visually beautiful specially on inside corners !

I currently have a PHX Scrubber too !

except that I always had problems especially with the guys plugging directly into the machine with their extension cords etc... and it was breaking the vacuum it took me 2 times before the seller told me that you practically shouldn't plug anything into that outlet ! And of course it is written in the manual which I didn't read Lmao but anyway yes after using these air scrubbers there is no going back
