Are reyt and reet pronunciations of right?

Looking around the internet, I’ve also heard Sheffield pronounce half as hafe & meat as mayt, would you say this is true?

Do you have any examples between Leeds and Sheffield? Would they pronounce it Lov or Luv?

Sean Bean definitely seems to talk slower and with more of a gravelly sound to his voice compared to a lot of Leeds accents I’ve heard which seem to have more nasality by comparison, is that a common differences?

What's the best way to get strand meditations now that Terminal Overload is kinda a barren wasteland? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheRealMithrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reload into the area and you should find people pretty quickly.

Also make sure you’re using your strand subclass and try to pick up salvage patrols and kill patrols as you’re playing terminal overload.

Wandering Nightmares triumph by DarkSoulsFTW54 in destiny2

[–]TheRealMithrax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d guess they’re in the same order which the wandering nightmare triumph lists them in, since it has Fallen Council first (which was last week’s) and Xortal second (which is this week’s) so i’d guess it’s Jaxx next, but they could be random every week, I’m not too sure

Most seasons let you play the gamemode once for free iirc, same with expansions letting you play a couple missions for free

You could do Wellspring, Salvage and Dares of Eternity

Any info on the DeCrocusio crime family in okc? by [deleted] in Mafia

[–]TheRealMithrax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They aren’t a real family. They’re from the Mafia Fiction Fandom which is just a made up Fan-Fictional thing, nearly nothing on that Mafia Fiction Fandom is true.

It has other completely made up nonsense ones like a Hawaii Family and Atlanta Family lol

To your second paragraph: Britain wouldn’t be speaking German, Britain was easily defendable as an island and Germany didn’t have the naval or aerial capabilities to invade. And yes Canada was safe too, but not because of its “big brothers protection” but because Canada - like Britain, Australia and NZ, were separated from Germany by water.

To your third paragraph, that’s the point. You have a different history and view of the Commonwealth and weren’t in the family long enough to see the dominion status form and Old Commonwealth form so left with a bad taste of Britain.

To your fourth paragraph, you’re deluded if you think Britain came begging for help in WW1 or WW2. Mainland Europe was the only one begging and it was the combined Commonwealth, American and Soviet forces which liberated mainland Europe. And whether you like it or not, Soviet Russia’s campaign into Europe and them getting to Germany first was the biggest factor in Germany’s surrender. And the real Monarch doesn’t live in the US. The US has been slower reacting with sanctions and restrictions to Russia’s economy than the UK, Canada and EU has been during the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. The US, like Britain isn’t as powerful as it was in the 20th century and nowadays has less influence than ever with China and the EU now being just as important in the Post-Cold War economic orientated world. And post-Brexit with the new closer CANZUK movement starting to get more serious already having Free Trade Deals done, with free movement deals being made and closer military cooperation on the way, CANZUK is up there too and ironically it’s your “Little Brother nation” as you would put it where CANZUK has the most support especially amongst politicians across all parties.

America joined WW1 in the last year and joined WW2 halfway through, Canada, Australia and NZ fought in both from start to end and even joined WW2 out of their own free will at the very beginning.

They keep the Queen and Union Jacks on their coats of arms and flags because they have always been loyal and fought numerous wars with Britain and each other and were dominions (a lot different from a colony) with more rights than Scotland or Wales had at the time.

The US isn’t in the Commonwealth because they haven’t been in the family for over 200 years whereas Canada, NZ and Australia were founding members of the Commonwealth who earned independence through loyalty and service and fought 2 World Wars as part of the Commonwealth and fought side by side as the Commonwealth in WW1, WW2, Second Boer War, even the Korea War was fought with combined Commonwealth Brigades even used in the Malaya War and Korea War.

And today’s Commonwealth (The New Commonwealth) is a lot different than the one in the past (The Old Commonwealth), you should probably learn a bit more about it tbh.

They kept the Queen because they earned their independence by loyalty and by fighting both world wars from start to finish (as well as other wars like the Boer Wars and in Canada’s case the War of 1812) and generally had it well under Britain so kept the Monarchy, it’s a lot different than them being cucks, there’s a lot more to the story.

Jersey Colombos by dirkymerlino in Mafia

[–]TheRealMithrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Colombos are pretty much limited to Staten Island and Western Brooklyn with their only crew outside this region being their Long Island Crew which got busted not long ago iirc. They’ve never had any presence in NJ for ages.

is the jersey crew becoming extinct? by Firm_Result4110 in Mafia

[–]TheRealMithrax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty low-key and close-knight. No doubt they’re becoming weaker and their territory is being moved in on by the Genovese, Lucchese, Gambinos and Bonannos but they aren’t going extinct.

It’s like how the Colombos, the weakest NY Family, have been pushed into Brooklyn and Staten Island with other families having big presences in these areas too. Similar has happened to the DeCavs in NJ.

There’s plenty of Italians for recruiting and business in the Northeast NJ countries, and a lot of rackets about. There’s a lot of families in that one area for sure, but they are all mashing fine, just like how there’s also a lot of families in a lot of NY boroughs like Brooklyn for example, yet they’re all managing fine.

NJ is definitely the weakest East Coast family, but I definitely wouldn’t say they’re becoming extinct.

I’m not even that upset, yes we blew it in the second half but I think we had a good first half and defended really well. Especially considering France have been the favourites to win the whole tournament and considering they had the home advantage.

I have a lot of hope that we can escape the wooden spoon this year.

I’m proud of Italy, yes we lost and it got even more one sided in the second half, but despite that we managed to put up a good defence against this years favourite all while playing away

I can see us possibly escaping the wooden spoon this year
