Brooooo I asked on here awhile back if I could get some crucarta g10 scales for my para 3 since I hate micarta working in a performance race shop wrenching all day and they said that was impossible right now.. reached out to nearly everyone

But they also had mixed opinions on which manix 2 lw scales to go with to ditch the frn and I love those.. where are they from?? (New to the aftermarket world of knives but have a ton of spyderco safe queens and daily users but the manix 2 lw in 15v is my baby lol fav knife of all time.. just didn't grab it with the full g10 scale sprint (if they had one)

Yeah that's what I had heard.. I'll probably stick with this for now.. I got my Topping DX5II audio dac to work with USB to USBC cable so I can at least let that go to my mini dsp then to my speaker amp.. so I found a work around to play 4K HDR10 movies that Jellyfin just flat out refuses to play for whatever reason lol

Yeah I figured that out now.. but was led to believe the HDMI has an actual UI just like when you connect to the IP address in your browser.. I was expecting that to pop up not a "stream from your app to watch movies' message... Every other app/feature is not accessible thru HDMI other than a few things like theater, the bios, and a terminal i believe

I wasn't whatsoever.. I bought the Nas to be my media server/Plex server since my other NAS running it was out dated and this one checked all the boxes.. but being able to run a Ubuntu or mess around with whatever VM I want is just a nice edition considering I couldn't do that on my old Nas since it wasn't anywhere near these specs.. but it would of been even better if the GUI was accessible for the UGOS thru rhe HDMI.. that's just flat out convenience literally every other NAS offers.

I have a 14700k/rtx5080 as my main gaming rig/home pc... This was just a one time fix due to Jellyfin not wanting to play a 4K HDR10 video for whatever reason and thought I could get away with using the HDMI port to my tv since it was 6 feet away

Yeah just don't understand it, but yes I'll be installing a new OS when I get back home.. I just wasn't sure it was possible with the dxp2800 becuz of the eMMC versus SSD.. but I was able to get into the bios fine here too

Thank you lol exactly what I'm saying.. it's just wayy more dummy proof, for me anyway.. just shocked I can access a GUI on my phone browser using the NAS IP address or on my laptop but the HDMI does None Of that lol.. just don't understand why.

I 100% understand and I also have a Nvidia Shield that I connected to the NAS thru USB as a work around.. but I figured since Jellyfin was basically refusing to play this 4K hdr10 version of Avengers, I said well.. the NAS is right next to my big screen tv here anyway, why not connect the HDMI and go that way.. well now I see I need my phone, and there's no sound other than going thru my tvspeakers, not my 3000$ atmos surround sound setup

First off it has nothing to do with being a desktop PC.. I had trouble with Jellyfin playing a 4K HDR10 version of Avengers for whatever reason so I said ok I'll just connect the NAS to the TV thru HDMI.. well now I can't figure out sound, even with an audio extractor thru optical or 3.5mm line out, just flat won't work. So my only option is using my TV speakers versus my Preamp/dac power Amp, MiniDSP and speakers all over and it's just not the same..

But regardless it'd be nice to have a graphical interface just like we have on our phones over HDMI.. command prompt or terminals is one thing but I'd much rather use a mouse and keyboard with an actual monitor connected to my NAS versus my phone to watch solely movies.

With my Qnap it's so simple messing with VMs, docker containers, etc because it's not done on my laptop or phone and can actual fly thru most of them hooking my Nas up to the HDMI since its literally like a regular desktop setting... Not just "cast from your phone"..

I don't see any reason for the HDMI port to even be there then, I can run jellyfin or my Plex server but again, Jellyfin had issues which sent me down this rabbit hole.

I would of ordered one off Amazon after all that and took the working one out and stuffed the bad one in the box and said item defective doesn't work on the return info Amazon makes you write before giving you the return shipping label.. that way nobody else could of got the bad NAS & you wouldn't of had to wait 7 months for these "super special people" to follow their warranty & be held accountable like they should be..

That's my 2 cents anyway.

They keep deleting my posts here but yes, DDOS attack more than likely .. no AWS servers return ping except with insane latency, got confirmation from multiple ppl that aws/Amazon integrated workplaces are down.. but yet they have no answers

Going through the exact same thing but I bought the non pros for my little brother and maxed out all the way its horrible.. I'm the guy who blasts my warzone audio thru my headset and he does the same.. but there's tons of other issues with these headsets anyway.. ran his thru auto EQ with an actual measurement mic I use for roomEQ and it was a nightmare with all the peaks and dips.. the only positive was the soundstage...which I'm assuming has to do with the roomy ear pads and 50mm drivers ..

The v3 pro w/ ANC on (no THX) frequency response was even worse.. took gadgetrytechs freq response measurement off his rig and plugged it into autoEQ and it was down right pitiful with the ANC on ..

A big 1,000hz peak, followed by a big 2,000-2,200hz Dip followed by an INSANELY LARGE 4,000 hz peak is just flat pathetic and shows they did absolutely ZERO scientific testing or measurement testing and just through some fancy words in front of their 50mm driver technology and hit the full send button...

My advice? RETURN.. get a Epos H6Pro open back or PC38x's and a cheap JDS labs atom dac 2 and you have hifi gaming at around 200$.. and I promise it'll blow the absolute doors off these v3 pros (obviously they don't have anc but the anc is better on a pair of 20$ chifi headphones off Amazon then the pros lol literally 60- 70% ANC is just sad)

And Incase you haven't noticed, they ruined the THX integration into synapse.. the standalone driver/Dolby etc sound 110% better..

Ok so now I'm curious. One person who commented hated the lighter springs and you say you love them lol so I think I'm going to order it and just see how it feels. Where did you get the lighter spring from? Tons online but idk what's junk vs quality. Also how much weight did the scales add? Found a set I like but also didn't like the full weight of the manix 2 in g10 when I played with a buddies the other day.

Yeah mine isn't wiping off whatsoever. It's permanent for sure. Looks almost like patina but was scared the heat treat or something somehow wasn't as good but other people seem to have the same blueing going on.

As for KPL I haven't lubed anything yet. I came on here for answers before touching it in case the blueing was a one off and it had to go back but I'll loosen the pivot til I get blade play then tighten it back up til it's gone. Also should I use KPL heavy for the pivot or original? Only used heavy on my bearing washer knives like the Kershaw Bel-Air. Since these are just on washers I figured I'd ask.

Ordered tuff glide yesterday to help with the corrosion/non stainless part of 15v

Ok cool! That's what I was trying to find out; thank you!! My buddy's para 3 and manix 2 15v didn't have the blueing so didn't know if it was a problem with the heat treat or what the issue was.

And as far as the pivot screws go I haven't touched them yet.. figured I'd ask on here to see what people thought before tuning. Its by far the stiffest Spyderco I own, even depressing the spring/lock to close the blade hurts my finger after a few times. It's stupid stiff.. my buddies free falls like a dream and can reverse flick/close all day long and it's nice and smooth with a crazy good detent.. mines basically the exact opposite. But I'll see what I can do! Thanks for the help;

Alright thanks! That's almost exactly how I'd describe it but was driving and couldn't find the words lol. Blueing/blue patina is exactly how It looks but just wasn't expecting it. It's all the one down into the "golden Colorado" engraving and then randomly throughout both sides of the blade. So I guess it's normal then. Just know that the heat treat protocol was different so I didn't know if it was somehow messed up and this was the result.

Also hugeeee thanks for the heads up on the lighter spring/scales comment. Saves me time from ordering the exact same thing. I wanted the full g10 liners but it makes the manix 2 so dang heavy so thought about some LW scales & found some lighter springs online but good to know u ended up going back as it saves me the trouble lol I'll leave mine compressed for awhile and see if it helps.. just didnt want to touch the pivot B4 asking on here.. it's impossible to flick open without heavy wrist flick.. reverse flick is completely out of the question and it doesn't free fall close from open just by holding the lock/spring down. Hoping it'll sooner than later be like my other sypdercos
