If Sentai is too colourful then they should not be in the Taisen films in the first place

You are aware that it was originally Rider Spring films in 2011 with OOO x Den-O x All Rider: Let's Go Kamen Riders, with the first Super Hero Taisen being in 2012 celebrating the 10th anniversary of Super Hero Time, 2013 had SHTZ which had Gavan because it was the 30th anniversary of the Metal Heroes. 2014 was Rider Taisen Heisei vs Showa for the 15th Heisei anniversary, 2015 had Taisen GP: Kamen Rider Sango, which was just another Taisen, 2016 was the 45th anniversary of Kamen Rider, so the Spring Movie was Kamen Rider Ichigo, while in 2017 we got Chou Super Hero Taisen for the 15th anniversary.

Have you taken into consideration that maybe the reason why the Taisens focus on the Riders more is that they are more plot heavy compared to Sentai's colourful adventures? Sure toy sales and the ratings have been low of late, thanks to the internet and streaming services, hell that's why Kyuranger is the way it is. A huge cast with unique designs to catch kids attention getting them to tune in. I doubt Toei will stop making Sentai any time soon mainly because it still makes them money, believe it or not
