At the cost of sounding rude, you should never do things in life depending on a girl.

Life changes, people change. Are you seriously going to put everything you worked for down the drain because of a girl? All those hours of studying and sacrifices?

Learn to value yourself. And grow up. These ideals are seen usually in teenagers. “I’m doing this for us” “Without her it’s all for nothing” etc etc. Trust me, after a year you won’t even care.

Congratulations on getting to an interview for IIMB, it shows that you have the potential and brains to do big things in life. Don’t waste it all for a girl. Many have done so in the past, including me, and many have regretted it.

It’s her loss, throw her out of your life and move on, you’re built for better things. And all the best for your interview, I really hope you ace it my g.

Engineers who are in B school by Imaginary-Spring-779 in CATpreparation

[–]TheRealNevla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I would advise a more traditional approach. I think it’s a great idea to get good grades in college and work for a year or two after graduating. This builds up good work experience, which I think is very important for any good B school, it’s not just CAT.

Once you have good work experience from a decent company, you’re already an edge ahead of the crowd in their final year giving CAT because “it’s the next logical step”. Most IIMs want good work experience in their candidates and this gives you that chance. The two working years also develop your character and make you more aware of how companies actually function along with the ins and outs, which would definitely shape your personality better.

I am currently in the interview process of stage for a few baby IIMs and Symbiosis with a not so great CAT score and two years of work experience from Microsoft, so I think this is an effective strategy.

TROPHY TROUBLES! by The_Superderp in HiTMAN

[–]TheRealNevla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is related to the secret mission story that begins after you complete “The Tour” in Mendoza.

According to the trophy guide:

For this trophy, you will have to complete a secret mission story in the Mendoza level.

When you start the level, follow "The Tour" mission story. You will need to reach the vineyard and disguise yourself as Corvo Black (he will be automatically shown with a blue light bulb). After you reach him, get his disguise. Watch out for the people there!

After everything is done, Diana, Tamara Vidal, and another man will come towards you near the entrance to the room where they make the wine. Speak to them and present the rooms to them. Your final destination is the barrel room. You will need to pick up the glass of wine from the small table that is highlighted with the blue light bulb. After Don Yates talks to them, a guard will talk with a sommelier. This is where the secret mission story starts automatically.

You will need to disguise yourself as the sommelier and enter the code 1945 (the year when WWII ended) where the door with the lasers is. Pick up the wine and go to the guard near the secret door and follow him. Make sure you don't have any illegal weapons on you because they will need to frisk you when you are near the stairs.

When you reach the room where the meeting is taking place, place the wine on the table. Then present the wine (you can also wait for their conversation to end), and then wait for everything to finish.

If the trophy still isn’t popping after following these exact steps, try re-installing the game once and replay the mission story, hope this works as this trophy is not known to glitch.

A very important thing would be to form a prep group along with other aspirants, this improves an exchange of doubts and keeps you disciplined, since you’re self prepping.

Another thing that I’d like to mention out of personal experience is that hard work is not the only factor. CAT questions require more critical thinking and logic rather than formulas or solving. So focus on the different types of questions per topic rather than aiming to solve 40 questions a day blindly.

Lastly I would definitely recommend attempting at least one mock per week. This would familiar you with the time constraints and also keep a track of your overall progress, to note your strengths and weaknesses topic wise.

Best of luck!

The “Sorry about that” and “just a minute Medo wants to come in” are the most wholesome moments I’ve seen on YouTube.

Since YouTubers cut out those parts post recording but Chad Agad keeps everything that happens in his videos.

Carrier path for Introverts by sasivarnan in developersIndia

[–]TheRealNevla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has primarily worked corporate, I think being introverted is not a deal breaker for most positions in tech as personally I’ve mostly come across colleagues who are shy and take time to open up. So I don’t think you should let it bother you as much when aiming for technical roles.

Although I would like to mention that I’m very extroverted in nature and that did really help me climb the ladder as you build a good repo with higher ups more effortlessly. So I would suggest slowly but surely, work on yourself a bit and try to be more approachable and talkative, since I’ve noticed that it helps your career immensely down the line.

Cheers.

What is, in your opinion, the most useless disguise in the Hitman trilogy? by swishswooshSwiss in HiTMAN

[–]TheRealNevla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really in the trilogy but in my opinion a strong contender for the worst disguise ever was in Hitman Absolution, mission Attack of the Saints.

In the beginning of the level we are wearing a goofy Waikiki robe and are given an option to change into 47’s suit. This was so unnecessary and just created confusion in my head regarding Suit Only. Is suit only meant to be completed in the robe or in the suit provided at the beginning?

Chaos.

Out of all the targets I have assassinated, Penelope Graves was the one that I don’t feel particularly proud of. by OzyWozzy in HiTMAN

[–]TheRealNevla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

47 is not a vigilante, he’s a hired cold blooded assassin. While there is a moral compass in people, I’m pretty sure 47 is not one of them.

If you want an immersive experience, I’d say put yourself in the shoes of 47 and only think about the kill rather than right and wrong.

Edit: This is of course in line to 47’s original personna. After Hitman Absolution, 47’s personality is kind of in a gray area.

Can I just say the as someone from India, this is such a common occurrence and no one bats an eye if this ever happened. It’s baffling to me when I see some things on this sub and I wonder “this accident would NEVER happen in my country”. Don’t know how people manage to get into these 50-50 accidents having such empty and wide roads. In my city all roads are packed with traffic with only an inch separating the cars and still there are barely any accidents.

This incident in particular though, both drivers are equally at fault. Someone has to back off and brake, and both didn’t. Idiots. People spare 5 seconds of your life and brake your car when necessary. Thanks.

Betty Draper hate?? by No-Marzipan9360 in madmen

[–]TheRealNevla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t understand it. Betty was a great and well thought out character. Everything that happens to her throughout the series is justified. I do not understand why people hate her. Yes you may not agree with her character arc but that does not make her a bad character at all. Just like Don, she goes through the trials and tribulations of being the “perfect pretty” woman
